CUMBERLAND -- Is there a light in your house you'd swear switches on by itself?
Every once in a while, does a chilly spot slide over one end of the sofa, or is there an unexplained warmth in the stairway?
Has your bathroom faucet ever started to run in the middle of the night?
If the answer to any one of those questions is "yes," you could be hosting a ghost.
And Shelley King, the proprietor of Investigative Research In Spirit (IRIS) might be able to tell you something about your otherwordly housemates.
King, 36, is a travel agent by profession but, following the death of her grandmother 25 years ago and the extra-physical encounters she claims to have had with the departed since, she has embarked on a spiritual quest, seeking out the voices, images and feelings she says are evidence of the spirits around us.
King spends her spare time visiting spots believed to have some connection to ethereal realms and helping the owners of homes and businesses understand brushes with mysterious entities. The Pawtucket Times
