In this article, typical orb photos are actually replicated and theoretically explained to some extent.

Because they look like typical orbs. A lot of people believe them to be ghosts.

Im sure that those pictures of "orbs" would blow the believers mind as yet more proof that this phenomena is "real".

However, they must follow, at least, these four conditions.

QUOTE
In conclusion, PRI considers orb photos as paranormal if they are taken under the following conditions:

1) A film SLR camera with a lens hood is used
2) No flash is used
3) There are no circular patterns inside the orb
4) The orb has color

Hmm, i just have to say one thing, if people dont believe in ghosts why do they insist on joining these conversations? Please dont ruin the fun. If you dont believe thats fine. but let us! grin2.gif But ya just my opinion.
Well i have a story to tell. In grade 8 my class and I went on a retreat to an old nuns convent called Loretto. It has been none to be haunted, and has a very creepy graveyard outside our dorm windows. So curious as I am about 'ghosts & strange phenomena' i started taking pictures, of me and some friends inside our room. Later on i took a picture of the graveyard, and that same day we went to a newer built area in the town, so i took some pictures. When i got back i took a look at the pictures. And it sent a shiver up my spine. The pictures of me and my friends(inside) had a few orbs around the room. The pic of the graveyard was FILLED with HUNDREDS of orbs. And the newer recent area pic. had 0. thats right 0 orbs. And you cant say that i had a messed up camera. i had 1 & it was fine and i dont know how to edit photos to make them all 'fake & creepy' these pictures are a hundred 100% real. take a looksy! original.gif

Well you said more than one thing in your post, but I'll let that slide.

If you want to believe in something that has a logical explanation, that's fine, that's your right, but people who don't believe in orbs have just as much right to be here as everyone else. And some people who don't believe that orbs are ghosts still believe in the existence of ghosts.

I don't think anyone is trying to ruin anyone's fun, just trying to open people's eyes to stuff that isn't necessarily paranormal so the true paranormal can be focused on. thumbsup.gif

thats what i read in other ppls post i think

Wow, I didn't think people would actually respond! Thank you for your interest. Actually, I am the author of this article and I was too shy to reveal my identify. Yes, I'm a scientist and I approach paranormal phenomena scientifically.

I am also a "believer"--when there's enough evidence. I do believe in after-death communications, OBE and PK. This is because I have friends who are very talented mediums and I personally tested them (they were confident enough to accept it). I have a friend who wrote an LA bestseller book on OBE and his stories are too convincing to dismiss (he was literally a rocket scientist). I've been to "Spoon Bending Parties" by Jack Houck and I've seen kids bending spoons without adding extra force or bending the head (or cup?) of a spoon. I tried the same thing with my muscles, but I couldn't.

Anyway, all I wanted to say is that there exists real stuff, but those "typical"orbs are "most likely" particles. Although I do "believe" that spirit can move objects, so it might be the case that they can also manipulate particles in some spiritually meaningful way. I believe that...although it's not going to be easy to prove it (strictly speaking, there's no "proof" in our world, except in mathematics).

It's just like that when you ask for a sign (blue bird, bitterly), you often get it. They might be a sign from spirit, but they are still blue birds and butterflies and they are FACTS. You can define your personal truth and that's 100% valid.

Amen, and Live Long and Prosper!
