Do You believe Wayne Williams was the SOLE Murderer in the Atlanta Child Murders case? I've read things about there being a couple of different murderers operating in Atlanta at the same time in the late 70s-early 80s. I don't think it was probable that Wayne Williams was the Killer of all of them, what do You think?

I have read the same thing. I think there is a good chance that he didn't do all of them.

Williams was in love with the high profile that the whole thing brought him. Until then he was just a loser who could only make friends with people half his age. He might have done some of it but not all.

I think they needed a scapegoat and wayne williams was it. Im not saying he didnt kill anyone but i find it very hard to belive that a guy that lived with his parents could kill 33 young boys and them not know about it.He was convicted on flimsy fiber evidence. I think Atlanta wanted someone to pay before it started becoming about rascism.

I think it was a very open and shut case that he absolutely did it.
The rascism involved was only in those who wanted it to be a white serial killer, otherwise just as in the case of the DC shooter, they likely would have caught him sooner.

yep he was a scapegoat for sure, he didn'y know any of the details of the crimes he says he committed. Vague about his motive and in love with the idea that in some way he could be smarter than others. Which hadn't been a highlight of his life till then.

How could they know? I mean most serial killers want to be in law enforcement. He constantly questioned the police about the progress of the case. He applied to the force. He was caught, on the bridge, dumping his last victim. It wasn't flimsy evidence by far.

No one actually saw him dumping a body. The man they claim he killed and dumped off the bridge was also claimed to have been seen alive the next day by more than one person. There are definitely loopholes in this case and it's easy to see that. How could the fibers on some of the bodies possibly match those from his parents' cars when one was in the shop at the time and the other they hadn't even purchased yet?

There was a guy named Joseph Christopher (aka the 22 caliber killer) from up here in Buffalo that they were looking for some of the cases.
I googled him and here's the first link I came up with

I dont know too much about this case, but Im pretty sure that Williams wasn't convicted for all the deaths that were attributed to him. That kinda thing happens all the time. Bundy was sentenced to death, but not for some of the deaths that he attributed to himself, or the ones that the police attribute to him.

Of course Wayne Williams killed them all. Did Gacy murder all of his victims? Not a doubt. Serial killers are vain. They don't want to share the spotlight. They want to relive their crimes themselves. They don't share. Just because he lived with his parents doesn't mean it isn't possible. Gacy-whole family lived with him at first. Dahmer-lived with grandmother for first victim. Fred and Rosemart West-House full of children. Nobody suspected anything. Or didn't care.
