Last night I was walking to my bedroom, there is a window behind me where the moonlight is shining on my room door. Suddenly I saw this dark fuzzy thing dart across my field of vision, and PASSED right through my shadow on the door. What did I see? When I stepped back and forward again trying to re-create that dark fuzzy shape, it wouldn't appear anymore. So it definitely wasn't my own shadow.

Hmmm. Any possibility that it could have been the shadow (created by the moon)of an owl or nighthawk outside?

Edit: or a bat?

A mouse?

Could it have been an insect that got into your room somehow?

Do you have any many windows elsewehere, something that could help create a shadow effect if something was going past outside?

Was it tall or close to the floor? When you say fuzzy, do you mean it appeared to have some sort of fur and that it wasn't a clear figure?

sorry for the very late reply i forgot about this topic!! haha i dont think its owls coz there's no owls here, and cant be birds coz it was late at night and they're usually asleep by then. my home is 8 levels off the ground so it couldnt have been an animal which came from outside...what could it be? it was a sharp oval shape, fuzzy at the edges, and when it moved the object elongated at the front and back, and thinned out at the top and bottom.

Perhaps a bat flying across the window outside?

Actually most birds of prey will fly at night, including night hawks, which are smaller than most hawks, about the size of a bluejay.
