Here is a remote viewing test. A development of Ganja's concept - he kicked me out of his thread.
There is a piece of paper sitting on the windowsill of my study in Auckland, New Zealand. The piece of paper has a 4-digit number on it, written in the colour orange.
Can you guess the number?

What, no takers? I guessed before I opened the thread at 7, 12 and 52...but I didn't know it was a 4 digit number, so I will change my guess to 7152...either way, I'm just guessing. No super powers here.

Socrates, do you believe in Astral Projection? I'm curious because you have a thread about it, but you also want to "test" it. Or is it that you want to prove it to the world?
Is it 4134?

lol.. I'll play... nice writing, by the way.. I always like when someone writes in crayon.. shows they can keep in touch with their inner child..
is it 3837?

No, I'm not claiming that I can do remote viewing, and never tried it.. i just put up the first four numbers that popped in my head.. and I know that they aren't correct..

good luck with your experiment!

Socrates. You need to associate the location of the numbers with a number. Like address or latitude/longetude. Those taking the test should concentrate on the coordinant number and see what numbers come to mind.

In this thread I am not trying to prove astral projection, It's just a playful experiment to see if anyone on the forums posesses the ability of 'remote viewing'.
After everyone who's interested I will let on who was the closest.

I see a lot of zeroes, so in descending order of probability here are my "thoughts"
0000
8888
9999
6666
Probably 8888 should go first, as it has the most zeroes, but one has also to factor in the level of deviousity of the thread operator

That number is to make him conciously aware of the place and it has some sort of intention after the journey doing OBE. Its purpose is to acknowledge or as a safety measure of OBE.
It is either a year, time, house address.

The chances to correctly guess a random 4 digit number is actually 1 in 9999. This is of course because in a 4 digit number there are 9999 possible answers.

Sorry to be a pedant but assuming you don't discount 0000 aren't the number of combinations 10,000? i.e. 10 x 10 x 10 x 10
Sorry didn't read the previous post. Lufia has already stated 1 in 10,000 possibilities.

How so? The OP specified a four-digit number. I made assumptions, though, based on other replies, that no decimals were employed and it was a number with four significant digits, i.e. not 0234.

The number is four digits, meaning the maximum amount is 9999. Rule out 1-999 (all less than four digits) and you're left with 1000-9999.
Meaning there's a 1 in 8999 chance.
I know AC posted almost the exact same thing already, but I was going to say this long before he did. He must've remotely viewed my brain.
