The game play looks sick in multi player!

i got Gears of War Collecters edition yesterday, haven't been able to play it yet

I got gears of wars yesterday and it's really gory and pretty cool the book in the special edition does a good job of explaining the back story.

I'll get the game as soon as it's released, it looks awesome from what I've seen.

I picked this up today, only played the first level, but I have enjoyed it immensely so far.

...I will eventually get to the multiplayer part lol

Just got it last night. The berserker had my heart pumping pretty good the first time around. 10/10.

Hey, anyone know if they will port it to PC? I loved Gears of War when I played it at my friend's, but I don't want to buy a 360 for one game.

Maybe in the future but nothiong they will do right away. If you buy a 360 you'll discover more then just GOW. Tis a great system....my second anyways....but nevermind that

I don't know about that, Microsoft is about making money and many people want this for the PC so they probably will end up making it for Vista, just won't be right away.

I finally got this game, it's amazing.

The online co-op mode is awesome.

So I was playing coop last night with my brother in law, I was Dom and we were having a hard time defeating the second berserker because he didn't really play the part of the bait too well, so after we both died a few times at her hands I decided to pull the hammer of dawn out right when she busts that first post, it hit her and then I switched to my bow as she was charging Marcus. I fired and hit her in the shoulder and right before Marcus became bits on the floor the arrow exploded and she went down, fumbling into him but not killing since she was already dead. What a great time this game is

Gears of War will eventually be ported to the PC...but it will take awhile, Halo 2 is just now comming out for PC. Microsoft is pushing that whole "Games for Windows" thing so its definetly showing up on the PC...eventually.

I have a question for people who have played through gears of war. If you've noticed when you go into Fenix's dad's house there's something on the floor when you first go in. There's an arrow pointing towards the wall, and if you use the longshot scope you can see there's numbers and stuff written on the papers on the floor.

I've tried everything I could think of and can't figure out what it means. That arrow and the numbers and stuff have to mean something. Anyone have an idea?

I know there is an easter egg somewheres there, I did read it, just never bothered to look yet... kinda like the face in the Halo 2 MP map....

The easter egg might actually be what's written on the papers on the floor. You can read them with the longshot scope, but it's blurry. I'm going through it on insane right now, when I get to that part I'll take a closer look at the papers.

My husband can do some glitches on GOW . One he just discovered where he can fall under the board and come back up out of the floor when some one passes and blast them, its so funny. Freaks people out. I try to play some times but I kinda suck.

They HAVE to mean something. Either that or the developers put that in there to make me go crazy. What kind of person just programs an arrow, clearly pointing at something, then puts words on paper that you can only read with the longshot FOR NO REASON!?

I'm working on insane at the moment... I'm breezing through except for a few spots here and there...like right now... with the Theron Guards

I know I'm a but late here, but I only started playing this two days ago. Fantastic game, one of the best ever. Breezed through it, right up to RAM. .... he's killed me 34 times in a row now. How the hell do you kill him? Google says shoot him six times in the head when the kryil aren't around him, but that doesn't seem to work.

You're going to want to alternate between using the Torque Bow and the Longshot, aim for his head using both of those while keeping your distance from him, and he shouldn't be standing for long. If I remember right the Torque Bow and grenades are both able to disperse the kryll swarm to give you an opportunity to attack him.

There are all different weapons just inside the train carriage before you begin the fight, so remember to use them. I kept getting killed because I didn't notice them before.

Oh I do, and yes the bolts and grenades disperce the kryil too. My problem mainly is that between his machine gun and the kryil he's killing me to early. When he gets to your posistion behind the baracade you have to run, problem is if you go into the dark the kryil kill you, and you go into the light he shoots you. Even on two-player one person using the longshot and one using the bolt-gun he's killing us before the end.

Do you know how to run past him without getting eaten/shot to peices?

Hmm, moving past him wasn't really ever an issue for me while I was playing it. I just stay covered for as long as possible, blind fired once in a while then hopped past him over a few obstacles at a time when he got too close and covered again.

What difficulty are you playing it on?

casual, I'm not the only one having trouble. I've been to tons of sites on google to try and find out how to kill him and it seems tons of people are having the same problem - can get about 6 or 7 head shots then die when they are forced to run past him... annoying as well because the rest of causual mode is easy.

Hm..I'll find the disc and give it a go.

I just killed him now using the Longshot and Torque Bow.

When you first leave through the carriage door, duck down behind the little wall stub that's there. Ready your Longshot and keep an eye on RAAM, he should keep his distance for quite a while and after a few moments he'll lose his Kryll shield, then you'll be able to get a good 3 headshots in. Once he gets too close, jump over the wall stub and run directly to the other wall stub on the opposite end, jump over that and duck behind it. Use the same method as before, while blindfiring the torque bow once he gets close to you.

Some of the entries in the credits are pretty funny.

How many head shots does it take to kill him? I'm now getting in about ten before he kills me, plus a number of bow shots and he's still not dropping

I didn't keep count but I think it must have been around 6 or 7 headshots (plus a few other random body hits) from the Longshot, coupled with about 6 Torque bow shots.

....after 16 head shots he's finally dead. Thanks for the help
