Heres a video that hasnt made its way here yet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xlyofmznOs

What do you think this is, 2-3 people in sheets? Motorcycles? I see almost exact repetition in the apparitions' movements.
Im still debating its validity. It bothers me that they apparantly were just filming that place on a tripod for no reason when it happened.

(Ignore those fireflies on the right. theyre not orbs)

I see what you mean by repitition in the movements, but it looks too obvious to be real. And why were those people recording a seemingly random place?
I reckon you could be onto something when you mentioned guys dressed in white sheets.
The whole thing just seems to staged to be real. hmm.gif
Wookie McFly
Well, that is kinda weird. However, the issues you raised are the same I am seeing. Why are they filming in a field with a tripod? I think it's a fake, just because of the numerous variables, unexplained reasons, and video quality makes it tough to see what the objects are.

I find it funny hicks always have these tapes.. Motorcycles? what the.... huh.gif

This impresses me. We'll never know why they were filming in a field or using a tripod. But people do for all sorts of reasons. Maybe they were filming horses, planes, thunderstorms or something like that....

The running commentary doesn't strike me as being fake, it seems pretty natural.

Wish we could speak to them and find out what they were doing there.

If you look at the video discription, it says that it was filmed in Gettysburg PA. That I think would be reason enough to be carrying a camera. tongue.gif I was in Gettysburg last october, and had my videocamera with me as well; sadly no ghosts. Just LOTS of annoying cars driving interupting my shots.

As far as the "ghosts" in this footage, I don't quite see how they look like motorcycles, as they don't allow them in the park because of noise and general disruption of the tourists. (only 4 wheeled vehicles are allowed). It is quite possible, when looking at the video, that they could be ghosts. They seem to be moving up in the trees, far above the ground. Who knows? (What I would like to see, is what was happening in the tape right BEFORE and right AFTER the sighting. It would lend more credibility towards it. wacko.gif )

Yeah it might help... I did actually think of horses while watching it.

Could they be a couple horses roaming around the trees? I don't think motorbikes as the sound would be picked up.

this is pretty good footage, and i think it was posted here before.. it cant be people dressed in white sheets, as they appear out of nowhere.. although maybe the small points of lights are fireflies..

and yeh i agree id like to see what the reason for them filming here are
Duppy Conqueror
Hmmmm...interesting video ....I'll add that one to the collection..

Like I said, it was filmed in Gettysburg, probably on the Battlefield. Cameras and Videocameras are commonplace at such a historic sight. I think i'll find a way to get my hands on it and analyze it. I'll post anything I can find to go either way. thumbsup.gif

I think theres a little to many people for it to be fake. Where are they hiding before they jump into the recording. Plus maybe they saw it and where carrying the camera attached to tripod. People do it all the time. Maybe they saw it and set it up.
TwilightSilver
Well I did a bit of digging, and I couldn't find a file to DL directly to my comp for analysis so I had to play the "Print Screen" game...I did a bit of tinkering, and here's just a sample:

First, I took two screens that took my attention; the first is the image sharpened for clarity and the second is using a Bas Releif filter:

1st set:

Now these to me, look like a man, wearing a backpack, walking away from the camera. In the Bas Releif, it clearly (kinda) shows arms and legs.

2nd set (taken a bit later in the footage but at almost the exact spot of the first "apparition"):

Same for the second. This is all up for speculation as is all footage of ghostly phenomenon, but I think that there is honestly something more to this one. I have e-mailed one of the owners of this footage to see if they will allow me a copy to analyze further, and with less frustration (It is now 4:23 am according to my computer, so my patience is wearing thin for concentration wink2.gif )

If I come up with anything else I'll post it. I'm determined now to get more out of this or at least debunk it. thumbsup.gif

Yes people carry cameras and tripods around all the time in open feilds..... hmm.gif

This seemed staged to me all the way down to the lack of excitement in their voices whe guys ran back and fourth between the trees in bed sheets..... rofl.gif

Looking at those images made think twice. And yes u won't believe how many people carry their camera and tripod on there back as the travel.

Oh I know...when I was visiting it wasn't until the evening, that the tourists started leaving. Now I know these southern folks aren't a professional family of photographers, but from what iv'e looked at so far, my opinion could STILL go either way.

Anywho, they definatly AREN'T motorcycle lights, fireflies, digital manipulation, or camera tricks. There is a partial substance to the "Apparitions". When I finally go to bed for the night, i'll be able to wake up rested and be able to work on this a bit more.

Paint the bottoms of the sheets black givin the lighting and poor video quality it would be an easy trick to pull off.

Indeed, that is VERY possible that it was done in that fashion. I'm just a big Civil War buff, so stuff like this really peaks my interest. The only thing that would really count towards it's validity would be knowing the exact location of the incident. The Gettysburg Battlefield is highly patrolled for vandals, tresspassers, and ect... especially at night as far as i've seen and have been told. A friend of mine goes to Gettysburg Collage, which is a short walking distance from the battlefield, so i've heard all sorts of stories.

Also, one last bit, coinciding with my last comment, the footage looks like it was taken at dusk; park patrols would definatly NOT take a liking to men running around in sheets if they were caught in the act.I always like to consider all aspects of a paranormal nature. laugh.gif
RollingThunder06
Your right about us southern folk not being professional photographers. (Had to laugh at that.) grin2.gif I hope this isn't a fake. Was really impressed with it. Can see where your coming from about the repeating of movement even though it doesn't look exact. Hope your able to find out one way or the other.

I apologise on my lack of new material. I still have not heard back from a purported owner of this footage, but I will still try and find something out. If anyone is still interested, be patient for a bit. My insomnia is getting to me....not enough sleep and too much to do.... wacko.gif
RollingThunder06
No problem Twilight. Understand your situation. Going through the same. Take it easy and don't force yourself to look into this. When we start that, it isn't fun anymore. original.gif
Lady_Anvilabeel
I don't think it does look repetitive.
xyr0x
It looks like an Apparition, however you can't forget that smog does occur in that type of environment, thus anybody will take advantage of this sort of setting to exadurate on it.

But who knows. If you were a ghost, where would you hang out? For me, I'd find some place better than a place that looks like the middle of nowhere. grin2.gif

Well upon hearing the results from one of the people I contacted I was dissapointed. this was the e-mail that was sent to me. It seems very hard to track this video down:

"Hey Dave,

The Gettysberg footage was something that was mailed to me last year by a friend. The original footage wasn't much better than the version that is on Youtube now and, unfortunately, I don't have it anymore. I really don't have any information about it other than where it was supposedly shot. Believe me, I would love to know more about it too!"

I plan on hopefully breaking down the footage by the old fashioned method. Just giving you guys an update. wink2.gif
