I am trying to find an explaination to some activities that have been occuring in the home that I built on a field in Vermont. I have lived in this home for one year now. The first "weird" thing that happened is that things have become magnetised in our basement. Items are magnetically stuck to each other that shouldn't be. Also, two of our computers were stored down there while we were finishing the home and when we set them up, they wouldn't function properly. I took them in to be fixed and was told that the drives were shot. They were fine when we used them last. The most recent incident occured last evening. Also, our house phones sound like we are underwater. The phone company said that we should try putting a large magnet on the phone box outside to counteract the magnetism. We still haven't tried this! The latest incident occured last evening. A blue light burst occured on a painting in a completely dark room. The painting is a watercolor inside a glass frame. The blue burst came out from the center of the painting, fanning out. Afterward, I felt completely cold and energized but not afraid. Any ideas on what it could have been? Could it have something to do with the magnetism?

Maybe your house in within a magnetic field. Try to search on equipment that detects magnetic fields.

Perhaps you should have the wiring in your house checked out. It could be
emitting an electromagnetic field that is disturbing everything. It may explain
the magnetized items in your house and the malfunctioning electronics.

This sounds like a brilliant idea to me.

Have you found anything else out about this phenomenom from other sites and if so could you post which ones. We have had a single knife from a pile of cutlery suddenly become magnetised. This has coincided with us discovering an unexplained broken fragment of plastic on a section of floor we pass by all the time.

I have some knowledge of telephony and that sounds like the product of a customer service reps' imagination.....if you have a newer house in a field somewhere you probably have main fiberoptic feed that is linked with a copper cable to your home...the underwater "warble" you are hearing may be a configuration issue with the fiber equipment (hubs) at the Central Office (Phone Co.) ........B

Sounds like you must have an electric power main or two running past your basement. If you have something generating a large EMF you will get flashes of blue light(electrical discharge) things becoming magentised indicates you have a very very strong magnetic field being generated. A matter of determining what. Do you have any power sub-stations near your house? We are talking a serious ammount of power to do what you are describing.
