Have you ever had a lucid dream?
or sleep paralysis? (which would be very helpful)
If not then you should take time each day to think about lucid dreaming.
two GREAT things to do are to make a dream journal that you write in every morning, or to print off an article about either W.I.L.D. or M.I.L.D.
lucid dreaming and read it ewach night before going to bed.
***think about your body falling to sleep, and those thoughts will keep you aware while your body DOES fall asleep***
after about a week you will start to have lucid dreams consistantly every other night or so.
knowing what it feels like to be conscious during an altered mind state will help you to control OBE's.
after doing these things, you will undoubtedly experience SP (sleep paralysis or "the old hag")
at first (or the second time) it may be frightening to not be able to move your body, but its ok. When in this state, REMAIN CALM. even if you hear REALLY weird sounds, nothing will happen.
in order to OBE...
****when in sleep paralysis, start with your head and SIT UP***
it may be hard at first, but its so much easier to just do it.
things like this take practice, but luckily (im assuming) you have time to sleep every night. eventually...
***get out of bed and walk around****
you know you're doing it right when everything is the same as in real life.
the awesome part is that with your "second body" you can do anything, go anywhere, and manipulate everything.
even know what is happening within a certain range around you! (gets better with time)
****The consistant OBE steps (22sublime22)****
1. turn a light on (makes the mind distracted, and keeps it aware)
2. lay face-up
3. elevate arms a little (less blood circulation, less distracting feelings, works well by laying arms on a pillow that's on your stomach)
4.cross legs (uncomfort prevents deep sleep)
5.DO this when you normally would not be sleeping (even a little before usual sleeping times)
****to stop having OBE's or SP*****
it's simple, sleep on your stomach or side. works every time.
