Well here is my story when I first became real involved with the paranormal, well actually I've always loved Ghostbusters, Poltergeist and the Exorcist since I was a boy, but who didn't !

Anyways this was about 5-6 years ago, I used to live in a town house outside of Toronto with my mother, younger sister and brother. I was about 20 yrs old at the time. Now picture this, we live in a 3 storey home with my family on the top floor and poor'ol me sleeping downstairs in the basement...of course right? Well my room was not your typical bedroom, in fact it was a living room that gave access to the laundry room and furnace behind the wall (no door), beside this was the wall with the backyard sliding door and the door to the garage was next to the entrance of the room, plus I can't forget to mention a nice hidden storage space in the corner that runs under the stairs, the only thing covering this space were blinds that constantly move on their own...of course right? Anyways my room was dark, cold, and rattled constantly from the furnace...having a good night sleep was a task on it's own let me tell ya! Which leads me into my experience...

One night I was sleeping (no alcohol consumption!) my girlfriend was by my side. The room was dark but we had light from 2 alarm clocks at full dim. So you can see just not a whole lot. Now my bed faces my door with the storage to my right and the garage and laundry room to my left. Of course it was cold in the room being that it was winter and the sliding doors are behind the headboard (don't ask). Well as I was in a wonderfull slumber I felt something pull on our blanket, so naturally I open my eyes slowly, groggy and tired I see nothing cause my eyes are blurry (you know the feeling), I look to my left with what little vision I had and noticed my girlfriend wasn't there...ah! she must have gone to the washroom and pulled the blanket a little, whatever I'll go back to sleep. Yet I am in another one of those wonderfull slumbers when of course I feel it again! Except this time it moved with a strong force like someone was angry, shaking to wake me, but without making a sound... So naturally I wake up, wipe my eyes, and in front of me at the end of the bed I notice a shadowy figure pulling on the blankets...

????????

...Of course thinking it was my girlfriend coming back from the washroom waking me up I say "What the **** are you doing?". At that moment from my left I see my girlfriend turn with a look of a tired confusion. She gives a sound of "Huhhhh, wha...?. I pause...giving her a scared look of surprise I quickly look up to the end of the bed...

...nothing...

...was I dreaming?...

...did something wake me? Pull on the blankets then disappear?...

She tells me she never got up to go to the washroom...she was in the bed the whole time...

...were my eyes playing tricks on me ?...

Well since then I have moved from the townhouse (I have more stories from there) with a fascination for the paranormal. More so with in and around the city of Toronto. I find it interesting cause this is where I grew up.

Anyone else have any experiences around this city? I would love to hear them...

Very interesting story you have there...

The most advice I can offer you if you the case was you weren't in some dream state is that you may have one pissed off spirit living with you.

You have to consider several things if this sort of thing happens again.

1. Try to talk to the spirit, or whatever it is for that reason, and say something along the lines of 'We just wanna live in peace, we wont bother you.'

2. If it continues to to prove a nuisance, Grab a bible and read a few chapters when it become active again, it might become pissed to no end, but its like splashing acid on someone face, it does hurt them. And following that scream at them, you have to be commanding, 'This is no longer your house! Leave hear, you are a dead spirit who is lost and now only wanders, find peace in the afterlife!' But be nice about it as much as possible while still being demanding.

3. If these all fail, have a priest or someone come to your house to preform some sort of spiritual cleansing, and all should be well.

But what I'm worried about is this might not be a simple ghost, or something...I think it might be a demon, or a shadow creature which I don't know too much about, other then it will be hard as f*** to get them out.

But anyway, good luck in your mission.

Well I would do that if I still lived in the home, but I have moved on since then...thanks for the advice though...
