When I lucid dream, which is about once or twice a month, I can't controll any thing exept me. For example I use to be able to go fly or move stuff w/thought but now I can't.
It has been going on for a while now any tips on how to regain controll? hmm.gif

If you are going to try to stage set and direct everything than what is the point?
You could just rent a movie.
Don't you want to know what is hidden to your consciousness?

Lucid Dreaming is most useful when you have total control. Your answer was very useless to the poster.

David_18045, I would suggest practicing, I suppose. Try to induce more lucid dreams, and maybe your control will either return or start growing.

Besterest of luck. thumbsup.gif

Ummm....your body is asleep while you are dreaming and your brain is recouping but thats a good time to practice!!!

I heard the best tip is to try and look at your hands in your dream....

I ended up with control over a dream a few nights ago when I fell asleep with the TV on and kept drifting in and out of sleep. I've never done it before, which got me interested in this whole lucid dreaming thing. At the time, I wasn't totally convinced I was in a dream, so I'm not exactly sure if that counts as lucid dreaming either...

If it was a lucid dream, it was probably just so realistic that you didn't realize you were dreaming.

Try something weird next time, like flying, or something.

Lucid Dreaming is when you can control your dream like a video game right? Where is regualr dreaming is like watching a movie? If that's right then when I have lucid dreams I only gain somewhat control towards the end of the dream.

My dreams go like this:

Lets say it's a Star Wars themed dream and i swinging a lightsaber, towards the end of the dream I realize that it doesn't make sense and figure out I'm dreaming. Shortly after that I wake up.

When I do this the themes have only two themes horror and well...dirty. WHich aren't common dream themes for me. In the horror dreams when i realize I'm dreaming instead of running away from the monsters or whatever I just go ahead and attack the monster or go ahead and let myself die(so I can wake up). In the dirty dreams It's start out as a regular dream(like a Star wars dream) but then realize I can get away with anything I do.

Is that lucid dreaming? And how do you remeber your dreams I can never remeber mine.

Yeah that makes sense in a way .... like with a "dirty" dream you are just picturing what's going on... not deciding where you are going to place your hand etc. laugh.gif A faceless man ..... or what have you ....

I really dont know anything aout Lucid dreaming, but I see what you mean.

I have lots of dreams of flying, and I can actually control myself very easily as to where I want to fly. I flap my arms like their wings. I even flew towards a mirror to take a look at myself and I had wings, I was freaked out, LOL!!!! But sometimes our diet can influence our dream states. Too much folic acid can cause vivid dreams. Melatonin is known to cause vivid dreams, especially with a combination of Vitamin B-2 i believe.

Lol, that was like my last "lucid" dream, I would be able to jump like 2 miles into the air.

The last time I had a dream..........it was a dream.

I'm not able to fly yet in my lucid dreams, but I can jump REALLY high. I also have never been able to change the setting, I can only control me. I'll have to try that thing with looking at my hands next time. Also I hear dream journals really help.
