Yeah they are pretty neat. My 2 year old daughter loves them because of the fact that they raise up and down but because they speak also. Well the ones in birmingham do anyway.

.. I'd probably do the same thing, not paying attention and drive over those road blocks.
I actually know someone which has done this before, except it was a like a wall which lowered, and they got stuck on the top.
