hello I am new to this site think it's great first of all want to tell you about this picture my sister took this in an old church in Guatemala strange part is it was roped off so you could only get so close my sister took this picture against the ropes it was at least 10 feet away from altar she zoomed in with digital camera I think it's cool

Welcome to UM I concur with the above...it's a finger...the flash is what gives it the luminous, 'supernatural' appearance.

I wish to add this thought. The angle of the white image is straight up. If it was
her finger' the angle would be tipped somewhat to the side or somewhat verticle.

hmmmmmmmmm she may have cought a spiritual entity in the pic.

It actually looks like a figure. I can barely make out the shoulders and what appears to be a neck, but I'd say the blurriness comes from that figure running by the camera as the picture was taken.

Saying on how your sister could only get so far to take the picture I'd agree with the rest of the folk here and say it's only a finger...

Yup, looks like a finger. What I find interesting, though, is that there's a bunch of printers or fax machines all over the altar (or what the OP called the altar). Admittedly, I haven't been in a church in a long time, but I'm fairly certain that religion hasn't gone digital in that time...

That is one hightech church, but my question is, What type of Christians are the owners of the church? catholic? ortodox? or protestants?(sorry if i spelled wrong) becouse of my experiences so far havent I atleast been allowed to take a single picture in a catholic or ortodox church


but back to the main point, it looks like a finger a nice finger also!
