currently my favorite rpg is Neverwinter Nights 2 which dethroned my false love for oblivion.

My fave RTS is still Homeworld 2 followed by company of Hereos

The only space flight sim I play these days if and the best of them all is Freeworld 2 and sometimes freelancer or Star Wars Rogue leader.

and the only fighting games worth playing is Street Fighter 3 third impact or MVC 2

I put a lot of time into the N64. My favorites were Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64 and Perfect Dark 64.

PC games - Favorite: Impossible Creatures, an RTS where you get to combine your creatures to make super strong hybrids and battle with them on a map; awesome swimming, flying and land creatures, a great game.

Right now its Battlefield 2142(pc)and before that it was Battlefield 2. I really like the first person shooters but I only ever play online.. Its great fun because I get all these chumps wanting a piece of me but I just waste em. It's classic.

Fallout 2 and the first one were great games! I've never actually beat them, but the best part of those games was how you could just wander around! They also had a pretty good sense of humor as well.

Another great PC game which is sorta old was Jagged Alliance 2. It was a sorta RTS RPG of sorts. Very awesome game!

i think my fav' console games are probably gran turismo 4 on and final fanatasy X
on the PS2,both games are huge and take a lot of time to complete =good value.On PC i still like playing Mechwarrior 4 mercenaries (can't help it,I just like big machines that blow things up.) but my current most played game is Warhammer 40000 dark crusade.I've been a player of the tabletop version for years and I own the first two in the series but dark crusade is easily the best one yet.I played it through on easy first to learn the game,now i'm trying it on hard,and yes it's very hard!

I think the first game I ever played was Boulder Dash for Commodore 64, and it's still one of the best games I know! I was like 5 years old, when my dad got C64 for me and my brother. Boulder Dash was so much fun, and even now when I haven't played it in ages I still think it has this nostalgic feeling to it that no other game can come close to.

Tomb Raider 1 was the first Playstation game I got in... 1996 or 1997? And I still love to play it every now and then. An amazing adventure, and Lara is one of the coolest characters ever. You don't see great level designs like this anymore!

Final Fantasy VII truly changed my whole aspect about games, when I ran into it in ...1999 or 2000, I think. The story was (and is, naturally) just awesome and I'd never spent as much time with any game - my god it was so long and fascinating! The characters came real close to you and the battle system was nice. This game started my Final Fantasy -obsession, and since then I've played all FF's from 4 to 10-2. Nowadays I really can't decide which one I like better, FF7 or FF10, but FF7 will always be the one that changed my life.

There are way too many games I adore, but I'd say these three are the dearest ones for me.

Recently found .. Rubik's Online-Online Cube ... fascinating. Was a fav past-time during my youth (gosh that makes me sound old ), loved trying to solve it. Online version is OK, but I prefer the hands-on model.

The SIMS games are my fav. I love Adventure games and some RPG. Pretty much anything I dont have to shoot or fight in. Love being free to explore, solve mysterys and puzzles.

Although I LOVE RTS and RPG games, I've yet to find anything remotely as fun as Halo 1 + 2 for replayability. Most especially the multiplayer..the physics, peoples skills, comradery with online/local friends make each game different than the last. Now if there was a map editor too, I'd be in heaven. That was always a fun aspect for the Timesplitters series, too bad not many people played it though.

Anyone know if there's been any work on a new Dune RTS game?
