When ever I try to choose a specific option [ for instance Hebrew (Windows-1255) ] from "character encoding" under View , it revert to the default value [Western (ISO-8859-1) ], how can I make the change permanent ?

I tried this Change the default:
Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors: Advanced > Default Character Encoding

Are you trying to make the Hebrew writing legible or trying to translate English sites into Hebrew permanently?

Hrm sounds like a bug then, no fun. I'd reinstall mozilla or load the most recent version if you haven't already. Beyond that I don't have any help for ya. Encoding can be a pain sometimes. sad.gif
