Full Version: Writing a Graduate Thesis

Hello all.

I need to turn in a Graduate Thesis today. Just the statement at this point.

I am thinking that its more than just the statement though.

Does this need to be a paragraph? And an outline? The professor was supposed to be there for us but has mysteriously vanished and classes are canceled last minute because of the Holiday they changed it to a Friday schedule so we have to email it to him.

Help!

I am planning to follow this format.

What say you?

Use a one sentence thesis statement of what you are examining.
You do not have to state anymore than that, just what it is that you are going to be looking at.

I'm a little surprised that your Prof didn't provide any direction. You have been in class for several months and not once thought about your thesis or format? What about fellow students?

If you have absolutely not direction, I would agree w/Bella and make is short, slightly general and clear. The format you posted will eventually help you complete the thesis, however it may be more than you Prof is looking for at this point. geek.gif

Good Lord! How did that end up there? I sent it as a private message!
I am glad I do not send cyber messages, that's for sure.

well the class is taught in an unusual way. There are three different professors and this is the last part of the class so I have only had him for three classes.

My thesis so far was

God is the yearning created by the separation from the collective consciousness through the use of language.

He appproved this as a thesis. I actually worded it differently but that's the general idea..

This topic is probably more suited to the General Off-Topic Discussion forum than the Spirituality vs Skepticism forum so I am moving it.

truethat, if you could let us know when this thread is finished with I would be grateful. I, or one of the other moderators, can then lock it so that it doesn't get resurrected in the dim, distant future (sadly not everyone looks at dates when they find a thread).

Thanks thumbsup.gif ,

Is that 6:00 GMT, EST or anywhere else for that matter?

He's from the East Coast, so I'm thinking EST. thumbsup.gif

Thanks.

Well it's now 00:35 GMT (God's own time zone original.gif ) so I make that 19:35 EST so I now declare this thread closed.
