Hello Everybody

I was a bit uncertain as to where I should post this topic, as I'm not 100% certain on what it is that I saw, but I was just wondering if anyone has seen anything that can compare to this, certainly in the UK, but anybody anywhere else else please let me know.

Tonight, after talking to my brother about ufos and such, and remembered something that I witnessed a couple of months ago.

I live in Cheshire, England. One night, probably between 11pm and 12 midnight I took a look out of my window before going to bed. It was a fairly clear night, with just a few little clouds moving slowly across the sky. There was this one 'object' that caught my eye. At first I thought that it was a cloud, but as it wasn't moving anywhere I became curious.

After watching it for a couple of minutes, and seeing it wasn't moving at all, I saw that this thing in the sky wasn't a reflection of streetlights on the window, as I began to move around a bit, just to eliminate this possibility. It just remained constant, not moving at all, as I looked at it from all angles.

This object was a light orange in colour and seemed to be circular, but it looked like a cloud. I started to notice that the object was growing in size ever so slightly, and more so towards the bottom of the shape as if it was pointing downwards. As it did this it began to move diagonally upwards and to the right, again only a little bit. I also noticed that the colour was changing to a deeper orange. This was actually more obvious than the movement.

I watched for maybe one minute more and it began to fade away, eventually disappearing, but as it did this, it's growth in size accelerated to roughly the size the moon appears to the naked eye.

Because it was dark, I cant say how far away it was or how large it really was. I was left very confused after it disappeared, but after realising where this object/light/cloud appeared, I was shocked. Please read the next part and come to your own conclusions - coinidence or otherwise.

I don't want to say exactly where I live but from my house, I can see, a few miles directly to the south/southwest, Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope, also in Cheshire. It's a very familiar sight to the people of North West England and perhaps to the rest of the country, and no doubt space enthusiasts from all over the place recognise it. Anyway, I realised that the orange object I had been looking at was more or less right above the Jodrell Bank Telescope as I looked at it (like I said though, not sure about the distance).

I've absolutley no idea what it was, and I had forgotten about it until tonight, but I remember at the time I was a little freaked out, since I had watched the object for so long, and the way it just remained still, and it's location in the sky was a little strange.
