I've read the directions over and over but I just can't seem to transfer the pictures to my computer. I'm so frustrated with it, i got it last christmas and i really want to get those pictures out of it. Can someone help me with this? Please!!!!

are you using windows?

Need lots more info. What model camera? Are you transferring from a memory card reader or directly from the camera? Any error messages? A basic idea of where you're stuck would help.

For some reason the "insert url" thing isn't working right for me right now, but if you do a google search for cannon powershot, the cannon site comes up and the support link is on the right. The info you need could be there.

I think I may be able to help you with this. I have a cannon camera. Dunno if its the same model. But I had the same prob. The camera would say its downloading and I just couldn't view them using the cannon Finepix software. So try this.
Hook your camera using the usb cable as the instructions say so. Then go into my computer. Go to Devices with removable storage there should be a icon saying "finepix" double click on that and it should work. It will then take you to the Finepix software and your piccies should be in there.
This is what I had to do for mine, but I'm in australia and I have microsoft XP. Dunno if this makes any difference. But the damn thing pissed me off for a week before I figured it out.
