Hello everybody

I was just wondering this while reading some of you guy's posts. Well, it doesn't really make any sense. If they are really here, what are they doing? They travelled for how long to get here? Then when you get here, you stay in the shadows and keep yourself hidden. Why?

Why would any being, go through the trouble, time, and the expense to make that kind of journey just so they could hide from us? According to some stories, the aliens have been here for a very long time. So all this time they've been just hanging around in space? Every now and then take a person or a cow and call it a day?

If they are here, why are they here?

To Live and call it home.

The possibilities are infinate aren't they? How can we answer this question? 'They' would have to do that.

I can tell you what I think or believe - IMO they're here or come here because we are all as a part of the greater organism, or theme, or existence. So they come here to visit and peruse and experiment. Much the same way I would go to a strange new land.

I can accept that, but what have they done to take earth as their home? All they seem to do is fly around and observe. But even observation, haven't they observed enough by now and they should anounce their arrival?

According to some, they have been here for thoubands of year. What are they waiting for?

I can dig that, but would you do that for thousands of years? I would to take the safe and cautious way to explore and study, but at some point the contact will be made. Not just sightings but actual human to ET contact.

I think one thing they are doing is keeping us confused as to what they are doing. Think about it. They're pretty good at evading us when they want to, and it's clear that they want to. It's exactly as if they're operating covertly. So it stands to reason that much of what we see of them is what they want us to see. Often, we see what they show us. And what they show us is noise, static, a smokescreen. This is just a fact of life when you're dealing with a clever organization that doesn't want you to know who it is, what it wants, and what it is doing. Human beings do it all the time.



I don't know. Maybe they've been here longer than we have.



Well, why in God's name would they give us any straight information about themselves? Have you ever met any human beings? Would you trust them? I guess the "aliens" figure that what we don't know can't hurt them. It seems completely obvious to me.



In space, on earth, underwater, on the moon-- wherever they feel like hanging out, it seems.

Search me. I imagine it's something boring, like "going about their lives without our molesting them, and occasionally using us for things we probably wouldn't agree to." Makes sense to me. Humans would probably do the same in that situation-- if they were a lot nicer. What humans tend to do instead is stomp the crap out of anything that gets in their way.

So imagine that we're the natives of a really nice island, and the "aliens" are like colonists, only a bit more scrupulous about the genocide thing. That's the picture that makes sense to me.

But, if they have been here longer then us, why are we the majority poulation on the planet? Also, with the island analogy, if this really nice island is discovered by aliens, why would they be satisfy with hanging around? Why not just take the island? It just seem too incredible that they would spend all that time to get here and then to spend another thousand years or so in hiding. Why? Even as scientific study, they have spent more then enough time to gather what they need.

I don't think its a take over since we are still here.

There is no right or wrong answers obviously, but just trying to understand why they would be here.

In terms of power, they are obviously in the majority.

If it's about numbers, then beetles clearly rule the planet.



They have. They're just a little more scrupulous than we are, and so they haven't wiped us out in the process. That's my guess.



Unless they are from here, or unless it took them no time to get here.



Well, why should they show themselves to us? Seems risky to me. I mean, surely you see why intelligent creatures would want to hide from the likes of us.



Then they're not all about a scientific study, are they?



Maybe they can have what they want without committing genocide, and they're nice enough not to kill us if they don't have to. Or maybe they even have some use for us. Either way, it's not so puzzling, unless you insist on taking everything they show us at face value.



I imagine they need resources to enjoy life, just as we do.

Maybe the burden and blame of being worshipped like gods is not something they care for or feel they are qualified in accepting. Love and adoration as well as hate and revulsion can lead to uneeded complications and harmful mistakes.

In my opinion were being decieved. Call me crazy if you actually really want to. I don't care. The aliens their waiting for the right time to make an appearence and take over the world. Make us their robot slaves. The sad thing is our government is on their side. Us is all we have. And there might be good aliens working for God. But who knows if they'll ever show their faces. As far as I'm concerned us is all we got. If you haven't already done so. Watch the movie V For Ventetta. It explains what I'm trying to tell you. Please try to relate what's in the movie with what's going on in reality in our world. Try to find the similarities between the movie and our world. Please don't just think it's a movie. Think of it as somebody(the people that made the movie) trying to get a message out to the people about the dark truth and what our government is really up to. Behind closed doors. They don't want us to know what their up to when working under cover(behind closed doors).

Stupid aliens. I would be a lousy robot slave. For that, you would want something more robotic. And slavish.

If they've been hear for a long time, maybe they're just waiting for the right time. Maybe they're observing us and waiting for the right time to ... do something. I dont know, kill us and get this planet and add it to a collection of other planets they have invaded/conquered, or perhaps they want to help us . Help us with what, I dont know .

i wanted to ask this question because i've been reading alot through the forum and many of you have brought up some very convicing arguements and evidence. as a skeptic, my foundation have trembled, still i find it incredible that not one attempt at contact was made. thousands years of living close to us and never tried to communicate is just unbelievable.

Mesobaite and boorite had a great explanation, but i don't know if i completely agree. i could understand living secretly for awhile, but thousands years sound bit much. imo.

McKenna had an interesting twist to the subject but i don't really get to heavy on gov't conspiracies so it's a little to take. no offense and i could see how it could happen, but it seem to much like a movie.

in ancient time, when these UFOs were seen, they could very well possibly be seen as gods. the hindu religions(i think) have some pretty fantastic tales of flying machines of the gods and the annunaki story seem UFOish too. don't know too much about it though so if anyone would like to shed some light, i would be greatful.

how do you explain some of mass sightings?

i'm sure if the aliens did come to earth long time ago, their whole civilization didn't come with them. even with a very large ship, you could probably carry no more then 100,000 people(roughly 3 football stadiums worth). anything more then that, resources would be a serious issue for the long journey. not really enough beings for all out invasion, so if they are here, more then likely they would keep quiet about their presence. imo of course.
