There are many cultures that have a different concept of time (compared to the industrialized world). For example, in some cultures there is no hour, week, month etc., there is rains, dry, shifting camp, when an age-set became men etc
eg. oecological time refers to reflections of their relations to the environment
structural time refers to reflections of their relations to one another in the social structure.
There lives are also much simpler, and usually less stressful. A year ago durring a psychology class we discussed the "Paradox of Advancement". It had to that we keep making things to make our lives easier, however they are actually making it more stressful. We make computers to compute our work faster, however that just means we have more work to do. We have cars and planes to get us to places at a set time, however that just creates more stress since we have these we are undoubtly expected to make it to these appointments on time. The more we create to make our lives easier, the more complicated and stressful it actually becomes.
Personally, I wouldn't mind regressing back to a simpler more primitive style of life.
