This time it's in Siberia.

Is it just me, or do these things seem to crash a lot? If these UFOs are indeed advanced alien space craft, then the aliens in charge of quality control really need to get on the ball!

OUt of all the ufo crash stories i would say that only a few of them are interesting cases. And whos to say they crash? Its common knowledge that we have fired at ufos.

Well, I'm certainly not convinced that UFOs really do crash. However, there are many folks who appear to think UFOs literally fall out of the sky...see link.

Well, theres people who believe they are in contact with aliens everyday. There are people who believe they get taken onto an alien spaceship and have ecperiments done to them. There is alot of crap and that makes it hard to look at all the cases. But if you do, then you begin to know whats crap, and what is not.

The are dropping like flies. laugh.gif One would think that a race "millions of years ahead of us" and capable of star travel could avoid getting shot down. Its like a house cat in the back yard shooting down the ISS. Something sure stinks with this UFO=aliens belief.

I personally have an open mind concerning UFO's etc. I have actually photographed one, but can never get it posted to the gallery.
I think UFO's are a combination of military and extraterestial. Regardless, if a craft operates in our physical world, there is always the possibility of a crash.

The number of crashes probably represents only 1% of all sightings.
morrison1976
how old are you by the way?
morrison1976
Yeah, most crash talk has no evidence behind it. But there are a few good cases that are very interesting

Like I said on the other thread, I have waited 40 years for the compelling evidence of extraterrestrials to materialize. I can wait 40 more, but after that kinda Im running out of time. laugh.gif

I gather that the 40 years here is your entire life? I say this because there's no way you are older than 40!

As for me...I'm up to 55 years here, really running out of time. dontgetit.gif

wow, didn't realize there were so many claims of downed UFO's... if they lose that many on Earth, then space must be full of wrecked UFO's... grin2.gif

They are only claims! and most of them without any evidence that something strange has happend. But that is not so for the cases that are still unexplained.

Yeah, I think we "big kids" ought to get back to the OP...I went off track too and I'm the original poster! blush.gif

At the rate these alien space craft are crashing on Earth there really should be hundreds of thousands of people who have seen these events. The news media should have covered at least a few of them, there should be some really good video. Several folks should have pieces of saucer debris sitting on their coffee tables as conversation pieces. I've not seen or heard of anything like this happening.

A quick application of critical thinking causes me to arrive at the conclusion that such a multitude of UFO crashes is not likely to be a reality. So, what's happening here? Could it be that a great deal of the anecdotal evidence we have regarding UFOs may not be quite as factual as some would like to think?

Out of all the crashed ufo cases how many are credible, not many. Even believers, who take the subject seriously know this, and i really expect the skeptic to at least know that most of the crash stories are just that, stories. So i suggest people go look at the good cases, and then talk about that.

No, it means to many people spend to much time looking at crap and thinking crap. Look how many photos and video are out there of ufos. Most of them are crap, does not mean they all are.

Lilly:

This may sound far fetched...but from what I read the U.S., Russian, & other governments have devised a weapon that can knock UFO's out of the sky. Many believe the true reason for "Star Wars" was not defend ourselves from earthly enemies (i.e. rogue government); but to ward off alien invasions.

Originally, the news media may have planned to run these types of stories. However under the direction of the government, media outlets were told not to report said incidents. Citizens that report these incidents likewise.

Essentially a gag order was put in place; censorship. After all, the government controls the media's agenda.

This latest incident happened in Siberia eh? Not surprising. Siberia is known to have a huge graveyard of crashed UFO's. A junkyard if you will!

Will the general public ever become privy to such a site? Probably not!

I really hope that we do have "Star Wars"...makes me feel far more secure about North Korea and Iran, let alone hostile aliens.

Personally, I don't hold such a belief in the omnipotence of the government, anyone's government.

Hearsay. I've also heard that the US and/or aliens have a huge base on the moon, that there's a human/alien base near Area 51, that the world is being run by the Masons/Illuminati, that humans never landed on the moon as Apollo was faked, that the world will end in 2012 when the poles shift...I could go on but you get the picture.

I don't know about everyone else, but I could sure do with some good, solid direct evidence at this point. BTW, No, I don't think all anecdotal UFO evidence is *crap*, after all I've seen one of these UFOs myself!

Nice job on summing up why taking anything at face value can lead to inaccurate conclusions. I am not saying that all of those things that you mentioned above could not be true, but we need to find some evidence of them first. Of course, we should also take the possibility of a cover-up into the equation, otherwise the conlcusion is obviously that nothing is going on or we would have had some kind of credible coverage by now. The fact that many of us have seen these objects with our own eyes, as well as seen SOME evidence via photograph/video/radiation samples, suggests that something is going on, and that someone is going to extreme lengths to keep it out of the front pages, (admittedly). Taking the possibility of a conspiracy/cover-up into equation allows us to look for evidence of a cover-up as well as evidence of the actual phenomenon. After all, if there IS a cover-up, the answer to the mystery lies no further than those maintaining the conspiracy. (That ryhmed, I hope you liked it.)
