Nov 12 1933 - Hugh Gray of the British Aluminium Company took five pictures of the Loch Ness Monster, the first known photos. Four the the five exposures were blank, and the remaining photo was later proven to be a hoax.

Nov 12 1993 - A Russian woman purchases meat at the Saratov public market at a very good price, but a sutured wound indicates foul play. Yuri Lukin, a local hospital worker, is subsequently arrested for removing human body parts from his employer's refrigerator to raise cash for booze.
