Hey guys this girl on msn got this while she was taking random pics. She has a digital cam and she said she had no lights on and had no idea what the yellow thing is.

She is skeptical about stuff like these ... so for me it was hard to tell her that it can't be any ghost or aura etc.

Can you guys explain? Because I think its just something common that causes this..

Thanks.

Strange that there seems to be a large lamp in the picture...
Opus Magnus
Is that uhh.. her hair?
LadyHay
It looks like the digital cam was on the wrong setting. There had to be a light source from something. I am 99% sure it is NOT of paranormal origins. Hope that helps!

The lamp shade looks like a cooper or brass one which looks to be causing the reflection
Leonardo
The camera was moving (jiggling) and the lights you see are reflections from the flash.
Chauncy
It looks like a reflection from the flash......bouncing of her earing then to the metal nut that holds the lamp switch in place.
Leonardo
I didn't realise someone else had Vitruvian Man as an avatar. Sorry Chauncy - you have seniority so I'll find another.
Chauncy
Thats ok Leo.........they are different.........mines more schnazzy original.gif

Some chick trying to take a picture of herself with a webcam. That's the best I can figure.

I'm almost afraid to ask just what body parts those are.

On second thought, I don't really want to know.......
Opus Magnus
I have a guess of what it is a picture of, but I don't want to say it and be wrong and look really stupid.

The flashes and trails could be something normal or not; but the fact that the lamp appears to be on causes me to doubt her original story, so what am I to make of all that follows that?
Fun, that's what..But I'm refraining for the sake of common decency..
Alara
I get "effects" like that whenever I fidget with my digital cam and change settings before taking pics of me and my friends (you know, one pic, 6 different settings, flashes etc. to see which turns out best). Don't think it's anything out of the ordinary.

Is she wearing any clothes? huh.gif

Light refraction from the light together with camera movement (or the camera on the wrong setting)
