WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - A Wichita man called 911 to report he was the victim of an armed robbery. The theft? A pound of marijuana worth about $1,100 that he had been trying to sell at his home.

The victim told police Thursday that a buyer had pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and stole the drugs.

Police brought in a drug-sniffing dog to the house and located more marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The victim was booked into Sedgwick County jail on several charges, including possession with the intent to sell drug.

The thief has not been found.

i smoke weed and i dont feel any dumber that i felt before i smoked it. well i dont go nuts on it but on the heavy users it will make the person kinda stupid but since he was trying to sell a pound chances are he is a chronic user. but there are allot of people who are just plain stupid and never know what they are talking about and he is one of them. like who calls the cops when someone steals your drugs? that is plain stupid!

You gotta wonder if he would have been a little smarter if he wasn't using the stuff though. It's really hard to swallow the line that it's not harmful when I go home 20 years after graduating from high school and find the known pot smokers of my generation still living at home, working as stock boys at different stores at the mall, still mostly worrying about where they're going to buy their next baggie of weed.

yes but it dosent mean that there stupid just that there lazy very lazy. i know after you have smoked it you get lazy and dont feel like doing that much but it does make you somewhat dumb unless you stimulate your mind alot by solving problems and building things.

i'm sure he was stupid before he started smoking. weed may mess up your short term memory but it doesn't make you this stupid. and i am willing to bet this guy did more than just smoking some pot...really? you shouldn't be hanging around with those people then, not a good influence. sure there may be some burnouts out there from smoking too much pot but there are a lot more alcoholics out there who have screwed up their lives even worse. if i remember correctly, you said you were in the marines. everyone in the military drank/drinks alcohol like a fish and i'm sure you have had more than your fair share of binges. moderate to heavy drinking does a lot more damage than moderate/responsible marijuana use.

He was perfectly justified in calling the cops to get back his drugs. Its perfectly logical and reasonable.

We have a lot of cop shows on satalite tv in the uk,its almost 24/7 on some channels and believe me this guy is minor league compared to some I have seen but I will agree that you have to wonder how many brain cells this guy had plugged in when he picked up that phone!
