This question is directed primarily at the religious. Why did God create man? Do any of the religions out there have an answer to this question? Answers from all religious backgrounds are welcome.
Just so that you know where I am going with this, I am curious why god needed to create men on earth that would then move onto heaven, instead of just creating us in heaven to begin with, with all of the attributes that are required to be in heaven.
Thank you in advance for your responses.

You can say that God created us so that we can experience life. Life on earth is just a game God plays with himself to see if he can create something that can eventually be like him.

Yeah, but have you tried playing checkers with the same person and only that person for billions of years?
Seriously, I think god could have been lonely. Sure, he had the heavenly host and stuff, but they were made to serve him and be unquestioningly loyal (minus that pesky Morningstar rebellion). Having nothing but a cadre of yes-men around you all the time must have been tiring. I can easily see god creating humans, with their free will, as a solution to that. Someone to talk to, who won't constantly say "gee god, you're so smart! I wish I had thought of that!" and someone who won't automatically worship you because they were made to. Getting humans to worship god must be a challenge, especially these days. God's probably got his hands full and I'll bet he's having the time of his life.
And there's really only so many conversations you can have with a dinosaur before they wander off to eat something. I have friends like that. Terrible conversationalists.

Life is like a school.
To test our ideals, to learn from them, to experience joy, to love,
to gain spiritual understanding and awareness.
Maybe while we are on this planet our soul evolve faster.
If we are in a spiritual form probably we cant experience all those things.

Why are we here - that about sums up the biggest of life's questions. I don't think there's any sufficient answer to this question, even within many religions. I don't know why we are here. I just know we are here! And I'm going to use my life and the time taht I have in the best way that I know how.

we're the only creation that has the freedom of choice to worship him...just my opionion ..sure no one nos for sure... since we are created in his imiage an have the choice to serve him unlike the heavenly host who have no choice we do...he gave us life to make what we want out of it weather it be for him or not...its all our choice..i dont know just my thoughts

I think that can only be answered by the individual, you have to find a reason for yourself. I agree with PA, we are here, so while we're here we should strive to be better people regardless of what may be the ultimate reason.

That can be applied to works as well. Career works, creative works, etc. If we are made in god's image and we have a desire to make a mark on the world to let it know that we were here and more than a nameless, faceless body, then god would probably think the same way. Ancient peoples certainly made their mark. We're still talking about the pyramids thousands of years later.

Man was created to be slaves of whoever God is. It is mentioned in Genesis at the creation of Man. God said; "multiply and fill the earth and cultivat it". God did not mean grow food. Food had already been created. "God" was an explorer from another world. He accidently found Earth and wanted to make it his new home. He made slaves to fix Earth up as a paradise for Him to own as his own planet.
The stories in Genesis are from eye witness reports of the event. Adam and Eve were the only witnesses.

The only thing that is 100% certain in life is no one comes out of it alive. And you work your 65 plus years to support yourself your offspring and your government so your children can repeat the cycle. Yep! Good old death and taxes, you’ll not escape either.
There is evidence of a creator everywhere we look. Yet there are many of us who deny His very existence. It amazes me that one can look upon the complexity of the computer in front of us and not deny that it had a creator. Yet we look at the complexity of a single human cell or gaze into the universe above us and still deny it was a creation.
The truth is revealed only after an earnest commitment, much to the chagrin of those that do not believe. Is that you must first come to Christ by faith alone and then the truth is revealed to the individual with no doubts. The facts are revealed within our hearts and minds, but we are only able to show others with our words and deeds. In much the same way I feel that my Christian beliefs are better expressed in how I live and what I do.

No religion offers the "why". Because in reality, if you ask me, there would be no reason for a God to create us.

I still say companionship is a good enough reason. People have kids for that reason. Heck, people have kids for less a reason. Or no reason at all.
Maybe god was sick of his parents asking when he'd give them grandchildren.

My own beliefs coincide with Edgar Cayce's teachings; that humans existed as spirits long before the Universe was even created. Thus, partially out of curiousity I suppose, we explored our co-creative abilities and wound up helping manifest nearly everything the entire Universe contains - including the Earth and life itself. Trouble is, we decided to become a part of our own experiment in this wonderland and wound up getting trapped by it (earthly sex was probably the main culprit since it continues to be the main denominator to most of our current problems). Now we struggle to set ourselves free. Guys like Jesus, Mohamed, and several others throughout history have been trying to wake us up - pretty much like Morpheus from The Matrix. Like The Matrix, we live in a great but fragile simulation, and every once in a while, a few individuals manage to "wake up". And the institutions (the "agents") do NOT like those people.
In that sense, "God" is merely an energy or consciousness - and not nearly perfect since it seeks to perfect itself through us and our own experiences. So like us, God also contains a bit of "evil", and is trying to perfect itself. That's why God allows guano to happen here; because we allow it to happen. We may not BE God, but we sure as heck play a strong role in how it operates. Like employees to a corporation (forming a "corporate spirit"). So when we blame God, the blame is actually upon us collectively.
Oh - and another one of my beliefs is that the Great Pyramid of Egypt was actually built to represent us in our perfect and intended form; omniscient, immortal, and androgenous. It was built long before Ancient Egypt ever was by some highly enlightened PEOPLE - possibly survivors of Atlantis or Lemuria.
Not the kind of belief system one would find in any school or institution...

Yeah but pretty pedestrian all the same. Basically an answer back to the original God theories. I don't see any "independent thinking" just wanting the God to be a Burger King whopper.....your way, right away!
There is no God. Not spirit or otherwise.

Quite simply, we are here to be tested. Heavenly Father wants to know whether or not we are worthy of our inheritance in Heaven, so we have been sent here to recieve bodies and go through life's trials. We shall all be judged according to our works, and be assigned the estate we have earned.

Its your choice to continue to live the easy life and face the consequences later rather than for the least bit dedicating yourself to thinking outside the box and living truely on your own. the Key lies in how much life you have to destroy
Life is basically a test, our spirits live a physical body for the sole force that is god to decide what this spirit is to become.
When a soul is incarnated into an animal body it has very little ability if you will to commit sin, because an animals natural lifestyle doesnt really effect the well being of others for no reason. they kill but its justified for their own need to live off the one theyve killed. In turn they live a very natural lifestyle and put up with the hardships they're environments put them through and thus basically live as intended for the most part without sin.
A human life on the other hand, particularily modern has many MANY methods of creating sin. Not only do we have the gift of consciousness which in turn gives us complete choice over our actions, we also have developed a vast amount of un-natural lifestyle conveniences. THese conveniences are entirely destructive of nature, life and drasticly simplify the lifestyle we live.
If one looks at the rule of karma, you can only win so much until your destined to lose. In this case, we live far more easier than we were naturally intended to. So in turn, if you dedicate your life to power grids, easily attained food sources and all these conveniences that make life for an individual so easy, then the end result will be a karmatic disappointment to your one's being when you die.
Life is about experiencing first hand hardships and difficulty. IF you have a heated home and eat food that was artificially or mass prepared for yourself (basically anyone whos reading this does) the least you can do is repent for your destructive modern exsistence, and try your hardest to return to a more natural lifestlye... i.e. growing your own food and living in an independent reknewably powered home. most of all recogizne your destructive selfish exsistence, appologize to god for breaking the rules of natural life and persue a more natural lifestyle in harmony with all that is living and minimaly effecting your surrounding environment, this means living off the land period.
Basicaly the test of life is the easier you live a lifestyle the harder you'll have it in the next. Its karma, do you really think rich hollywood actors deserve eternal bliss after living so easily. EVEN IF THEY'RE DEVOTED RELIGIOUS...God cares nothing about religions, he cares about how your being exsists in physical life.
