Stephen King movies are notoriously bad.. they do the books absolutely no justice whatsoever... having said that, I will concede that The Stand was awesome.

oh, and The Shining remake was ok, but the original was better. Just can't beat Jack Nicholson

Well .. The Shining (Jack Nicholson version) and IT, are my favs. The Steven Weber version of The Shining more closely resembled the book .. but I lean more to the older version .. Nicholson is very creepy in that movie.

Without a doubt, 'The Shawshank Redemption'

I liked "Storm of the Century" and "The Shining" best. I thought they were pretty good. "Desperation" wasn;t bad either.

Love Shawshank - and the Green Mile - original Shining with Jack. I dont think I ever saw the newer one.
But of course... books are immeasurably better.

Absolutly Storm of The Century, The Shining (Nicholson), The Langoliers, Green Mile, and Shawshank. Dreamcatcher was just plain horrible in my opinion..utterly utterly horrible

Glad I read that book first.
What would think if they made a Dark Tower movie?

I would LOVE a dark tower series - if they got someone good to do it - and it wasn't low-budget stuff.

Woah I'm surprised to see someone mentioned
The Langoliers - I was already starting to believe I'm the only person in the world who has seen this movie! It's great. I loved the book and I think it's one of Stephen King's finest writings. The movie captures the atmosphere really well, and the story is scary in a nice original way.
But my all-time favourite must be
The Green Mile. It's just so perfect. I loved this book too, and the movie was much better than I ever deared to hope. Great acting, and the whole thing is just so touching. One of the few films that always make me shed a tear or two at the end (and I almost
never cry because of movies!).
The Shawshank Redemption is wonderful, and Pennywise the Clown from
It used to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid.
The Shining is a classic, sure, but I read that Stephen King himself doesn't like the movie adaption at all? I kinda like
The Secret Window too, but that might be just because of the lead actor.

This is so strange; Falco and I were just talking about our dream cast for DTS last night!

I guess you can consider it my favorite Stephen King film that hasn't been made yet.
Other than that I liked Green Mile, Storm, It, The Stand, Rose Red, Shining (new) and Shawshank.
We watched the new 'Salem's Lot last night and it was pretty good. The Nightmares and Dreamscapes was awesome; we bought it the day it came out.

Rose Madder
Umm... I think Rose Madder is the one in which the abused woman goes into the painting. Rose was her name, and Rose Madder was written on the back of the painting she bought. Wasn't it? Hmm...

IT is by far the best book to movie adaptation of his books I seen that when I was younger and since then I have never looked at clowns the same. Also I thought Thinner was good as well.
