Depends if you consider boxing as a martial art or not.

I see it more as a sport.
Do you box? I kickbox.

aikido is my fav
Aikido is also my favorite. Judo, Karate and all the kickboxing (Chinese, Korean etc) are to aggressive and hostile, were Aikido is much more defensive. Perfect for older people such as myself.

I used to train in Aikido, and I do have great respect for it.. but I moved on in search for something more physically demanding.

My fav type of martial art is taiho jutsu/ jiu jitsu. I used to train under a fello by the name of Richard Hall for several years in ottawa in the art of Taiho Jutsu.

I don't really beleive in single forms of martial art. But if there was one that was my favorite it would have to be Jeet Kune Do which in its true form is not a form or style but a way to perceive the martial way. Hence the term of JKD, "The way of intercepting the fist". But to understand the true philosophy of matial arts is to allways be open to your full potential and ability. This was one of Lee's biggest points when he created JKD.
By the way I beleive boxing to be a martial art its just been turned into a sport through its fame as a spectator competition. I beleive modern TKD and Karate to be more of a sport than boxing. I know plenty of boxers who can defend and brawl way better than anyone from one of those disiplines.
