I thought the same thing at first too. Then I thought, "I've never seen a car with headlights that close together before."

I think they seem so close together because the beams are so wide. I don't know what would cause this, maybe the weather conditions, the distance from the car to the camera, the fact that it's very dark, or maybe something to do with the camera.

Is there nobody looking at the figure. Grr... not the lights the figure. I'm done with the lights. Its not a car headligths. Now what about the figure.

Snowstorm, person walking in the distance, a car approaching further away. Not? >.> Maybe it's some alien craft that has dropped off some spies that will manipulate the government!
m. Moe
It's not much of a mystery. Those are just headlights from a distance in a blizzard. No mothman.

We don't care about the so-called "figure" because it is just headlights.

It's not a figure; it's just a blur. I see nothing else.

Isn't the Mothman dead? I mean he hasn't been spotted since the mid 80's. I say carlights unless proven otherwise.

It's Mothie in a car with 'Ol Footy, Elvis and Tupac......unfortunately, Nessie wasn't able to make the trip.
virusdeath0
What car has lights that close together.

I saw a 4WD today with to Magor lights in the middle on. But not the outer lights.
It may be very well Head lights.

And Onyxdk, do u really think Nessie could have fit in the car.
Lady_Anvilabeel
Great pic of snow grin2.gif But these don't look like headlights, they are to close together hmm.gif

If this is mothman......then he is letting himself go. blink.gif
nativechick1989
Hmm .. looks a bit like Sasquatch to me .. crossing the road in a blizzard on a mountain pass, just happens to be crossing while two cars are approaching.
Adam2006
I think it is a porcupine with 2 LED's in its back so it can see better in the dark. yes.gif
Col. Kurtz
It`s the giant bigfooted black puma cat that everyone see`s. =/

My vote is it's... Headlights, and yes, to all those skeptics out there... Who are too close-minded to accept the revolutionary concept of the small car with circular headlights, such vehicles do exist!
I know I will face staunch criticism from the skeptics out there. Those who would like to explain away these truths with such easy answers as "Mothman" or "Elvis". But we believers will hold fast to our faith in the HLP (Head Light Phenomenon) to our dieing day! We know the truth!!!

Merry Second Day of Christmas!
Bill Hill

what's the story behind this pic?

? Did you miss the news where they told us the truth about Nessie? You know, Nessia was actually Jack the Ripper. True story. I saw it on TV.

Adam2006

I'm sticking with my porcupine theory yes.gif .
boorite
All good theories, but it is indeed a traffic cam showing a car in a blizzard. It's in Wyoming on I-80 at the Summit between Laramie and Cheyenne. I just thought it looked awesome.
furryman
its just a car and its exhaust

Man, I totally thought that was Mothman too!
ivytheplant
My favorite is the porcupine theory. I'm going to use that the next time I can. Along with "army of evil."

I actually cropped the tags from the picture. Here's the full thing with tags, in case someone is still doubting that it's a car.

I downloaded the picture from the Wyoming DOT road webcam page, which can be found here.

Here's our current conditions:
http://www.wyoroad.info/highway/webcameras.../I80Summit.html

I had been watching the weather and roads that day because we were preparing to travel across the country the next day. I couldn't resist saving that picture when I saw it. Eight days later, as we were preparing to travel back home, I checked the webcams again and downloaded this picture (though I was more interested in the horizontal snow to show my family that their little rainstorm was nothing).

As you can see, Mothman frequently likes to travel I80 in the winter.

This is a pic of the road from the link given by ivy:
