I have a I-pod 55GB I bought it off a friend a while back. I never really listened to the radio on it today I told my mom to turn the Ipod off for me...and she said I don't know how haha so got it from her and looked at it somehow she turned the radio on! I knew it could be done just not sure how. So I was listening to the radio for a while then I turned it back on and could not find out how to listen to the radio!?!?!
I checked the itunes website still no help!
Can someone who has one please help me!
thanks in advance

If I am not mistaken, don't you need a FM Transmitter to listen to radio on iPod?

No, pretty much all MP3 players have a radio feature, even without an FM Transmitter. I don't have an Ipod so I say get someone to show you first hand or just keep playing around with it.

The Ipod is notable for having no FM radio, which is one of the many reasons it's inferior to many other players.
Unless you have the FM radio addon by Belkin or Griffin, I think you're mistaken.

Is this an Apple iPod or are you using iPod as a generic term for mp3 player? iPods don't have built-in FM radio and never have. Any number of sites can back me up on that. The only way to get FM radio on an iPod is via an external FM tuner which generally attaches to the dock, or with the iPod Radio Remote dongle which is attached to the dock and then to the headphones.
Not sure what's going on here...google it, the iPod has no FM radio. Unless you got some mutant one-off production or something. Really strange.

Apple brand IPODS do NOT have FM/AM radio in them. You need to buy a transmitter for them. I work in retail, in an electronics department. I've never heard of a 55 gig one either. Are you sure its the IPOD brand??

maybe its an option for the radio but you just need the transmitter for it to work.

Looks like radio might me a genre like comedy. If not, ask the guy you bought it from, maybe he messed with it?

The weird thing is I had a Griffen or something like that transmitter that connected into the bottom of my I-pod. I used that before, but then I took the transmitter off.... and the FM radio still worked.
And I controlled the stations just the same way as I controlled the volume. And I was listening to my (local) radio station 94.3 The Party. Soon as I turned the I-pod off I could not get the radio again.
I don't know..... About to give up.
