....but there are pictures from nasa that show some kind of structures on the moon and pictures that have parts censored with a small black square.

These small black squares are most likely JPEG compression artifacts, or areas of data drop out. Richard Hoagland loves to point out JPEGs as being "evidence" for all kinds of things, I suspect others do this as well. These types of image processing issues simply aren't evidence of alien bases on the moon.

If the bases are on the dark side of the moon they obviously wouldn't be visible to astronomers.

The "dark side" of the moon is a misnomer. The far side can not be seen from Earth but it is light 50% of the time as is the near side.

Actually - during 1/2 moons you CAN see the 1/2 the darkside from Earth Shine... No not as clear as the lightside - but it is visiable.

The earthshine is easier to see during crescent phases, partly because there is more dark portion of the moon to see and partly because the earth's phase from the moon is the reverse of the moons phase from the earth. Hence when the moon is a crescent the earth would be nearly full.

Based on my own experience with star gazing from time to time and based on the evidence at hand, I think my verdict on moon bases is that there are no such bases on the moon. I mean don't get me wrong I think that the discovery of any type of structure that didn't originate from an earthly source in our solar system would be the most important discovery of our time. Unfortunatly outside of theory and obscure references there really is not a whole lot to support it.
