maybe my story has a simple explanation, but it sure scared the *** outta me

I went outside to smoke a cigarette (it was dark outside), and meanwhile I was thinking of my uncle, who died 3 years ago. I was thinking that if he still could "see" us, he could give us a sign that he's ok, wherever he is (not such common thinking, I know . At the exact same moment I was thinking, I saw a flash or something like that and I heard something hit the ground. Tough I'm not scared easily I ran back into the house with my heart almost pounding outta my chest, that was the creepiest thing ever happened to me I swear!

Maybe it was a metorite? Or your Uncle was just letting you know he's around and ok.

I was also thinking about a meteorite, but it sure took the moment to fall down

Well, some time has passed since you first posted. Have you gone outside and look around to see if you can find out what hit the ground?

Might be one of those cows them aliens take aboard and have a good time with then just drop from 2000 feet. I hear they can bounce like 200 feet!

But seriously, did you like, check the place the next day, if there was something there, any sign or anything? The sound might have been something entirely different from what it sounded like, but it never hurts to check, just to be sure. >.<

could you describe the flash a little better than just a flash of somthing? did it look like a flash of lightning?

I looked like a flash, coming from above and I saw it hit the ground (and heared it). Checked it out this morning but couldn't find a thing I'm pretty sure it's a meteorite, it's just creepy in combination with what I thought at that moment, and it hit the ground just in front of my nose that would also explain I couldn't find anything, because when a meteorite hits the ground, it's just a very small piece of rock

Yes i think it was a meteorite.

You're over reacting. The flash could've been from light hitting someone's car mirror for all you know. And the noise could've been anything. It would've helped to tell us what the noise sounded like. I think the story is a load of cr*p.

Maybe your uncle sent a meteriote down to let you know he was around and ok?

Maybe the meteriote was the sign.

You know God works in mistrious ways. Well maybe your uncle sent a sign without it being very noticeable.

Who knows he probably didn't want to attract to much attention and wake up the neibours.

I think it most likely that either somebody threw an object or an object fell off the building. The flash you saw could have been light reflecting off the object from a streetlight or other light.

I actually experienced the same thoughts as you , at first. Then I remembered that I have had alot of crazy supernatural things happen too, and if I were to tell some of them, alot would sound pretty much like this kind of thing.
But, this is the kind of place where people can say whatever they've experienced, to get some help and ideas.
Here, wierd is normal.
Personally, I'd go do the same thing again, and say the same thing again, and see what happens...what the heck.
