Hi all:

I am looking for some books on strange or mysterious disappearances. True mysteries where people have just simply disappeared and were never seen again. I especially would like to find something on people missing in the National Parks. Also would like to find information on planes that have gone missing. Not into the Bermuda Triangle though, way too much info on that subject! Is there any forums out there on these subjects??

The Directory of Possibilities edited by Colin Wilson, which has sections on 'disappearing' people, comes to mind, but there are plenty of web resources that cover similar territory to the books covering famous mysterious disappearances, some in front of apparent witnesses, which sometimes turn out to be journalistic fancy. Google? How many times has that been suggested?
