Full Version: The Exodus decoded
Unexplained Mysteries Discussion Forums > Unexplained Mysteries > Spirituality vs Skepticism
Lion of Judah
Exodus. The very word evokes an epic tale of Pharaohs and Israelites, plagues and miracles, the splitting of the sea, the drowning of an army, Moses and the revelation at Sinai. The story is at the very heart of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. But many historians argue that the Exodus is a myth. Others disagree.

In the Exodus Decoded we analyze the latest archaeological findings and scientific papers; we explore the dusty back rooms of out-of-the-way libraries and museums around the world; and we track down dozens of forgotten relics and ancient documents. Individually, these findings are historical curiosities. Together they tell the true story of the Exodus.

Actually, the word "Exodus" for me evokes thoughts of departure and immigration. Of which there have been many. Moses just had a better publisher. rofl.gif
And then, as with any thing published, there are those critics.

I watched the first half of the program a few months ago. Very interesting.

I am not convinced by the TV program, there are a lot of holes and contradictions, but I am very interested in the subject, and two chapters of my upcoming book deal with the plagues and exodus so will probably join the forum. Thanks for the tip.

You know this has already been discussed in the thread "Mt Sinai found" http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...showtopic=83283 It is total male bovine manure, the producer manipulated the interviews with prominent scholars, historians and archaeologists to make it look like they agreed with his premise, when in fact they not only disagreed, but thought it was total BS! His professional credentials are in film and entertainment, not in history or archaeology, and this work of his shows it. It is strong on entertainment and very very very short on historical fact! - Da Wolf
