Okay, so for a house or other building to have a ghost, wouldn't there have to be a death in the building? My friend just moved into a new built house, and their is some ghostly stuff happening! She's claimed that she has seen shadows, her door has opened on its own, and even a depression in the foot of her bed, just like if someone was sitting there. I've been over their and have heard footsteps when nobody was up or around. The lastest occurance is she said she heard a unfamiliar voice say "I think she knows we are here"

Its crazy! Any opinions?

the land...maybe an old burial ground or something?

Infrasound or EMF?

She could have been followed from somewhere, ie cemetary. Or, the house was build on top of something. A little research on your part will go a long way to solve this mystery.

I agree with the other posts, the land on which the house was built may have something to do with it.

I'd say burial grounds. Have them look into the history of the land.

Wow, a depression at the foot of the bed! That would unnerve me a little bit. Have there been any cold spots in the house and has she tried communicating with it/them?

could just be visitors as well

Of all of the eight houses I have ever lived in had unusual things occur. Now, in my thirty something, I was told that I carry the energy and I make things happen. There is a legitimate doctor (will post his name when I find out from my husband) that supports this theory. He said that the human mind is so powerful that “it” can manifest anything possible. I believe that to an extent, but come on….not EVERYTHING. Ask your friend if she has always had unusual experiences happen elsewhere and if so, it is “she” who is causing it.

I think there will be rational explanations for all these phenomena. For example, doors can open on their own when there's a draft running through the building. I'd be interested to know if you both experience anything else though.
