I was wondering how to paint from scratch in Fireworks MX. I have a drawing tablet here, but after I saw this amazing picture, I thought I'd try painting out. I haven't had luck figuring out the right type of stroke to use for a nice blend. I can draw, but not paint. A thought anyone?

Fireworks MX looks like it would be pretty tricky to make any serious art in. I wonder if you'd have better luck using a freeware program. There are a couple of good ones out there if you do some hunting around. I have heard some pretty good things about this one, but haven't tested it very much, just piddling around on client's computers. I do a little graphic arts work so I generally use photoshop.

I'll try that program. I meant to download it last night.
