Hey guys n gals
I was looking around on ebay and came accross an auction of a ouija board that comes with a doll thats over 100 years old, the doll and ouija are haunted and have been together for nearly 100 years, supposed to have a ghost girl who talks through the doll, what do you guys think about it? do you think that an object can be haunted? I may bid on this ouija as I think i heard a story about it a few years back, just thought id ask around and see what other peeps thought of it
does anyone think its a load of rubbish? You get other stuff like haunted pictures or paintings, How can a ghost haunt an object?

I think personally if ghosts truely do exist, if you die and become a spirit and you aren't fully aware your dead maybe something triggers you to want to hold onto things that you remember. I think that's how haunted objects would work is that a spirit would desire the item so much that they would just follow it.
In the case of it being on ebay on the other hand and not a trusted source, i would have to say it's a hoax unless they are asking for 1$ lol. There has been far too many "haunted" items sold on ebay, and i can't personally see them all being real. There was even once a Ghost in a Jar sold on ebay for a large sum of money, and i garuntee it was a hoax, as alot of them are where they claim their item to have a special power soley to make more money.
So either way it's risky just depends how much its running you down in cash, if its cheap why not have a free "supposefly 100 year old doll with it that you can sell for profit later lol.

Yeah i guess your right, The auction is for a 1912 William Fuld Ouija Board with a pointer so I guess the item itself is an antique so its not like people are bidding on a ghost in a jar, lol, the longer people fall and pay for this stuff the longer people will sell it, The auction does look cool and the doll it comes with is really creepy looking, Think I will keep an eye on it and if the price is right i may bid

Personally I wouldn't buy anything off eBay that's classed as "haunted", it's just a ploy to bump the price up as there'll always be people out there who will pay over the odds for that sort of thing.
However, I do believe that it is possible for objects to pick up residual energy. Mediums practice psychometry with this in mind (the reading of personal items). It's not such a great leap of the imagination to assume that spirits can become connected to certain objects the way they appear to do with places, so essentially, yes, objects can be "haunted".
Good luck bidding, but don't pay any more for it than its retail value

Thanks for the advice, Yeah I dont think I would pay over the odds for it, It will probably go way to high for my budget just cos its stated as haunted, I like the story to it to so i suppose if im lucky i may get it at a good price,

I'd buy it if it was really cool looking and something I wanted, but not because some goober said it was 'haunted'.

A 100 year oujia board would be a cool thing to have. Just for it's age nothing else. I don't believe the doll has any relevance. How you'd know it was truely 100 years old I'm not sure...you could ask it LOL
Anything labeled haunted on ebay take with a pich of salt

Actually on second thinking, I don't think oujia boards were properly manifactured a 100 years ago...so there you go

Those who bought the Dibbuk box was aware of the stigma attached to it as "demonic" or "haunted" -- So, it is impossible to distinguish if it really is, or just the imagination. Like the doll that lives in Florida (Fort Lauderdale ?) folks convinced it's posssessed by a spirit... it may not be haunted or possessed, but darn that thing is UGLY!!!

Yeah I heard about that doll, You do get Ouija boards that are over 100 years old, I think the 1st one was made in 1890 or around that time, There is a website that has them all listed with there age, The doll in the auction does look old but you can never tell with these things, could be something someone made just for the auction, Who knows, I foun an auction of a REAL HAUNTED CHUPACABRA HAND, lol sold for £108, lol, now thats a bit over the top aint it lol

imo, I believe spirits can be attached to certain things making the (thing) seem haunted- almost the same thing as if attached to a certain place, but an object instead. again, my opinion.

They call this UGLY "haunted" thing Robert! I'm not sure what the story is on it exactly. I'm mean does there have to be considering how it looks... i better shut up, cuz I don't want a haunting- especially not from this thing.

It is possible for residual energy to be left on an inanimate object.

it really is weird, the distance people will go to make a quick buck (or quid here) on ebay. Go to a boot/yard sale, buy some tacky looking doll, make a story and earn some money. Hell, I think I could make 50p by selling a "haunted" Dr. Pepper bottle wrapper.
Plan's for tomorrow are: Search the house for an action man, tack him up a bit and make a story about bulbs blowing and candles going out.

I remember seeing a magazine article where they tried to pass "Robert" off as an alien.

I bought a haunted teapot off of eBay that's shaped like a cat (the tail is the handle and the raised paw is the spout). It's supposed to be haunted by the spirit of a cat, but so far my cats haven't been hissing at or afraid of it.
Not that I'd ever be able to tell if a ghost kitty was wandering around; my three cats cause enough chaos as it is.
A few years ago on eBay, I came across a hideous olive green glass candy dish that was supposed to be haunted. The seller claimed if you put the dish next to your bed, the spirits would bring you incredible orgasms. There were a lot of bids on it.

The skeptics will just have to experience it for themselves
From other people's experience it is possible for objects to be haunted. If a person was attached to an object when they were alive, there energies still remain on that object. For example, if you had a favourite baseball cap, furniture, or toy it will always be on your mind and you'll always want to be around it or near it. That's one of the simple explanations.

I think maybe I should start selling Haggis hoofs.

Oops almost forgot IMHO things can be haunted but that does not mean to say that it is.....go buy it and find out. I just hope you can deal with it if it is haunted. If it is post on the forum and let us know... before your head starts doing the 360 degree spiny thing
