Heyyeveryone. I recently just got out of the hospital. I was born with a 'caved-in' chest. However, only a year ago, I found out a way to fix it. Basically, the surgeon puts me to sleep, and then carefully shoves a concave bar into my side. He then flips the bar, shoving my ribcage outward, fixing the depression. I was in the hospital for a week, with a tube in my chest sucking out fluid, and taking morphine(until I learned me and morphine don't get along well) I watched a few movies, and soon got out. I feel great, and will finally feel comfortable about taking my shirt off.

Here is a link on the condition. My former condition

Wow! I'm glad everything when well! Yeah, morphine can do some ugly things to some people. May your healing be swift! original.gif

I am very happy for you!
People are so very harsh and cruel about appearence despite all of the flowery words about beauty being skin deep and salaries reflect that.
I am glad you were able to get good help and care. yes.gif

That is great! Your condition is common, and I have seen the results of the surgery before(although the one I saw required a cut of the sternum and wiring everything back together with a metal plate) and it makes a huge difference.

Morphine reacts poorly with a lot of people. We use it on our medic units and there are all kinds of allergic/side effects. There are plenty of other drugs out there though that do a wonderful job of pain management.

I hope you feel better soon.
