I started this thread to discuss some of your favorite bands or artists that you think no-one besides yourself has heard of. One of my personal favorites would have to be
The Refreshments. So far, I've met one person that knows/listens to them and another person that thinks they know of them, lol. This band was a 90's group that only released two albums I believe. If you ever get a chance and if you happen to actually find this album at like bestbuy or FYE, I highly recomend their "most famous" album called
Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy. It is by far one of my most played albums in my collection. Anyway, this group features some awesome guitar riffs and solos, but the lyrics however are not the greatest. If anyone thinks they recall the name, you may know this band through their song "Banditos".
Check them out on Itunes or myspace or click
here and you can listen to some of their tracks.
So basically, I guess you could say I started this thread to help introduce others to bands/artists that you might have otherwise never heard of.

I have heard of them because I love 90s rock bands. I listen to bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, RATM, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, etc. In my opinion some of the most talented and original rock bands came from the 90s.

thats why I put quotes around Most Famous, to show that it isn't really famous in general, but if anything it is
their most famous album, lol
but yeah, it is a pretty sweet name

That title is such a rip off of The Who's "Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy".

I suggest listening to Bloodrock 2, by Bloodrock - mainly the tune D.O.A. - I've always found this song to be creepy. I heart it.
Along with that, check out Captain Beyond.
oh yea, for giggles listen to: Lie: The Love And Terror Cult, by Charlie Manson

I recommend playing it to people without telling them who it is...and after they say how cool it is, reveal zee name.

Edit: b/c I'm a tard who can't spell.

The right tempo and atmosphere for a doom metal lover like me

Obscure are some of the bands I listen to; as for example Tyranny (Doom)
Some decent to good (starting) bands can be found at
Soundclick, along with a favourite (but more well known) of mine: Inkubus Sukkubus
