Hey all,

I need your opinions on this one. "The Friend" has produced many obstacles to me as a writer, but this one takes the cake in terms of difficulty. Anyway, do you think it is a good idea to introduce a brand spanking new character that will play a major role in the story?

Because of this difficulty, Part 11 may take extra long to write.

Thanks for your help.

I have had problems like this with my story
"The Drow King" The best advice i can give
is that #1 don't make it seem like the
character was just thrown in. #2 if
you think you have to many characters
try combining one that is already in
the story, with one your thinking
of putting in so you come out with
an extremly apeeling character.
#3 Also try killing off a main charcter
that will surprise everyone(like in my
book where the antagonist dies 200pgs
before the books over.)

Thanks so much. In Part 11, Nathan is not killed but 'leaves.' So I guess this would count as killing off a major character. I'm in the middle of writing Part 12, and I think I have written the character's sudden appearance into the story. Unfortunately, I can't say much about the character right now, but let me just say that it is a male person personally involved in Sarah's life.
