im not really sure if this is the place 2 put this..so if its not plz move it..

a few days ago i was talking with my older cousin and we were talking about ghosts and she said she thinks the reason we see ghosts is because when somebody dies they go 2 heaven or where ever and its just like it was on earth and sumtimes they cross paths with us and dont even know it.

what do u guys think about that?

its a common theory, that is quite possible

I'm not sure where my theory is mentioned, I've been posting it somewhere else also, but I think such 'appearances' are imprints of energy in time and space. It's the most probable theory for me. But I have never seen anything like a ghost. Just the regular psychological trickery we know as pareidolia and the such. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_message

IMO, there is another realm around us. All around us. Our physical senses aren't aware of it, b'c this realm is not of a physical plaine. There are things there within this realm that are good, bad, mutual--we cross paths with them and them us without knowing. Dead people who are lingering around their loved ones, or feel they have unfinished business are in this realm. People with the sensitivity to see with a spiritual sense (there are different degrees to this sensitivity) can sometimes see, hear, touch etc, these lost beings--- Then, there is the realm (much brighter, bigger, better) for those who have "crossed over." my opinion only of course..:}

In my opinion there does seem to be a crossing point from this realm into another where our spirit joins (insert whatever that may be) Some spirits may not cross over for whatever reason and although have a limited existance here they continue on. I also think spirits that have crossed over can connect to this realm as well.

Ghosts on the otherhand are not spiritually connected, just imprints/replays. I think residual energy can account for experiences of 'crossed/merged paths' - example - A person who walks into a building that used to be an old pub/Inn suddenly expereinces the smell of tobacco and ale and the sound of a busy party....Or the person that walks into a building that used to be a place of worship and experiences monks chanting.... On the other hand I'm still undecided where time slips fall into, some people have been able to interact with the enviroment and people of that past time as they experience the timeslip. It strongly suggests it's not residual related under these circumstances but somesort of crossing of dimension.

It's seems probable, but then again so does everyother theory. The only thing I see as un-probable is the heaven part. Mainly because in my view, Heaven is not on earth. Then again I don't believe it to be in outerspace either. What I like about the theory is the part about crossing paths which could be possible. Kinda like crossing dimentions through portals in movies and ect.
