For many months, I've had this weird thing happen to me. For example, one night I would be getting into bed and suddenly I would feel a large wet spot of cold water on the mattress touching my skin. When I take a closer look and run my fingers over the fabric, however, I am unable to find anything out of the ordinary, and neither is the mattress wet. Another time, I rested my arm on a cushioned chair and immediately a chilling cold touched my skin and made my hair stand. I thought maybe I had spilt water on the chair so I inspected it, but it was very dry. Many other incidents like this happened recently, and I've felt dozens of 'cold water' spots, but never once have I seen any trace of water on the objects I come into contact with during each incident. What is going on?

Unusual. Have you any medical problems that are related to your nervous system? Your nerves could be sending false signals to your brain. Otherwise have you percieved any strange poltergeist type activity? Only things I can think of off the top of my head that would cause such a phenomena. I have felt the sensation of drops of water faling on me at unusual times but this could be put down to a lo*spam filter*ed condensation forming into a droplet and falling from the ceiling or the sky on a fine day. As for pools of water, no.
Ashiene
Nope to both questions. I don't think there's anything wrong with my nervous system but there could be poltergeist activity in my home which I am unaware of. I mentioned in a thread about letting loose my evil self and stuff like that but this started happening long before that incident.

That infers you have a good self grin2.gif People who operate on a high spiritual level atract higher spiritual activity. Think of your spirit as a lighthouse shining in a black void. My belief is that people who are spiritualy strong cause a weakening in what is known at the veil which is the barrier between the physical and spiritual universe which restricts cross talk. If you are one of those people then you will be prone to getting "visits". If you summon a spirit/entity from "the other side" it takes approximately 10 times the energy to expel the spirit/entity. There is a record of a group of monks that created a spirit being that actualy acted as a servant but it eventualy started to get unruly. I cant remeber the details or where it is written but it took 10 times the number of monks to undo what they had created. So hopefuly you havent been doing any Wigi Boards or summonings otherwise this could be the cause. Heh or you could just be going slowly mad tongue.gif

um, do you abuse any drugs?

Maybe this has something to do with your afforementioned affinity for rain. Wasn't that you that mentioned that in another thread?

That happened to my mom just last week. She went to lay on her couch and she felt something wet and she checked and didnt see anything. Oh and a while back, I was sitting on my couch and i just felt 2 wet drops hit my shoulder. I looked up and there was nothing, I checked and no, it wasnt a leaky roof either.

This isn't all that uncommon and it doesn't mean you are crazy or have a neurological disorder. Nor does it mean you have ghosts in your house.

All feeling is neurological...sometimes 'feeling' is a misfiring synapse. It may be as simple as getting more protein in your diet. Start taking vitamins every day. I bet it never happens again.

Interestingly, I am a 'Water Snake'! I am of the element of Water (based on my birth-day) and a Snake (in the 12-animal Chinese Zodiac). Each year (for every 12 years) represents a different animal (chosen for the personalities of each person born that year).

Nope, never. If I did I would lose my job as we get tested for drugs on a regular basis grin2.gif

Might it also depend on your body temperature compared to the temperature of whatever you are touching, meaning the cooler chair or bed can be detected as cold and wet?

I agree with that. I've had the same sensations touching colder objects. When you run your hands on the object, it has obsorbed some of the heat from your hands, giving less of an impression of it being cold and wet when you feel it for the second time.

You should try testing other objects, in rooms with warmer temperatures. Although if it's already warm where you are, I'm not sure how else to explain it.

I've had this happen to me. I don't know what causes it either. I've always just shrugged it off. I too, am of the water sign (scorpio), but I don't really think that has anything to do with it, as I don't believe in astrology. Now that I am aware that it happens to other people, I find it kind of cool, and as a consequence it probably won't happen again! yes.gif disgust.gif

I have also have this happen to me on numerous occations.

People always look at me as if I am insane when I jump off a couch and say it is wet...

Glad to know I am not alone in my insanity though original.gif

There's also the possible embarrassment of one getting off the couch and it is wet.

You could always blame it on the cat. Cause that really did happen to me once. Really. It was the cat.

I then closed it in the closet with the cat box for about 3 hours. It was a stray that I thought I would keep, but after that, I set it free. It turned out to be a neighbors cat anyway.

I suddenly had the greatest of fears of everything around me. I saw a strange shape dart across my vision, heard sounds I shouldn't be hearing, and saw lights flash in and out of existance. In my room, I felt a dark presence, which tainted even the air around me. I felt a fear at that moment I had never felt before. My whole body was on full alert, and goosebumps wouldn't stop forming on my skin! I thought I felt eyes watching me.

I see a small tadpole swimming around slowly in my field of vision. It appears as a bright flash of light, then takes on the tadpole form and seems to squirm and wriggle around.

when I think back, I don't even remember doing anything from 4pm to 5pm. In fact, it seems that that 1 hour didn't even exist for me!

I feel as if everything around me has become a computer program and sometimes I think I can save the lecture(like saving and loading a game) and view it later.
