A quick question for Y' all old and new alike as I wont be able to hang with all You Warlocks and Wichipoos too long tonight because I got to go to Best Buy to look for new printer ,anyway since I started exchanging thoughts and Experiences with all of you(loving it!)about a week or so ago I started getting a notion that someone was trying to "contact" me a couple of times, first two where fleeting so I shrugged them off,but last night kind of drifting off in bed I was considering this idea when I actually got a fuzzy vision ,like a TV that had poor reception , of a we'll say middle aged looking woman waving both hands and kind of smiling like "here I am do you see me now?oh there you go, Hello!", and her grin turned into a big friendly ear to ear smile when I got a better focus ,then she vanished . I want to describe her as kinda chubby with short curly dark hair, she seemed to be dressed casually in thinking a sweatshirt top and jeans, I was not in the least frightened by this it was almost like a phone call from a favorite Aunt! and I found her smile to be very disarming,and felt absolutely no bad energy or negativity at all,(nice for a change) so has my psychic router been getting "pinged" lately by some of our more we'll
"experienced"members or was it a result of my over stimulated imagination, admittedly the exhilaration of my "awakening' has been draining and I'm probably due for a crash soon , anyway any members get any sensations like this(again didn't seem invasive just a friendly hello!)or did any of your more venerable regulars get this as a Newbe? or do any of you think its no really related to this forum at all and is part of an emerging sensitivity I (MAY) have, anyway Thanks

I believe when you get a lot of certain energy together (as this forum w/ those with gifts) you will tend to experience paranormal events in some way or form, especially if you have capabilities to do so.

as in my SPs and occasional bad basements I have had: one visual experience (ghost spotted from camper window) and one auditory (footsteps and slamming door at friends house)and now this ,Really got the impression that this was some ordinary(but gifted) person(who is very much alive)

From my experience a spirits skill in comminucation can differ greatly. There's no doubt that some are much better than others. It's not always clear why this is the case. Recently passed over spirits tend to find it hard in communicating their thoughts. I think it takes them awhile to adjust and learn how to. The skill and level of the medium comes into it as well...

Communicating with a spirit isn't like having an easy face to face conversation, spirits communicate through their senses and thoughts ( telepathically) and again coming back to the medium it can depend how the medium works. For a clairvoyant medium, thoughts are given as images/symbols, the mediums skill is in translating/making sense of these. A clairaudiant medium is able to hear thoughts, this may sound easy but of those I know who work this way they describe it like half listening to a very fast and busy conversation, their skill is in grabbing the key things said and making sense of them.

All mediums to an extent are able to sense as well, its a difficult sense to describe, but say you had a spirit that passed with a heart condition and this spirit was communicating that, the actual condition may be felt/sensed rather than expressed by thought.

Spirits also seem to know who the mediums, sensitives and receptive people are. Some believe it's indicated in the energy field/aura, that someone connected to the spirit world is easily recognised as such. A spirits perspective of energy including auroic energies and method of communication is just really quite different to ours

Nothing seems easy at all about that ,sounds like a medium of the clairaudiant variety(newbie had to say it out load)really had to refine the focus process at first to filter out all the noise!... think I'll always have the "Ron Weezley" low spark wand as the potency of some of these abilties many of you possess becomes apparrent ..........yes i am aware of all the Freudian symbolism in this statement.! ...........thanks A!.........................B

Anyways with me it was about 5 people, but only 2 of them talked and they were talking like they weren't getting through to me. I guess after I didn't respond back they didn't realize I could still sorta see and hear them argueing about it.

I got an impression of short ,curly, dark hair with this lady but I was kind of distracted by the her non-threatening demeanor it seems like she was taking care not to spook me and even seemed amused by it .......like she was kind of winking and going "so think there might be something to all this eh Mr smarty pants?" did you pick up on any good natured amusement by these Pings?......b

One had sorta blondish hair, and the other had darker hair. Not sure if it was curly though. Before I heard them arguing I was getting a bunch of different images coming to me. Then the one with the blonde hair I think was saying to the other one that's she's tried it before and just can't get a response from me. Then the other one was saying about how she's trying to go at it too extreme. Then they started arguing about that until I lost it.

Yeah, it was really foggy. Couldn't make out much. When they talked I can't remember if I was actually hearing their voices, or just knew what they were saying.

yeah its weird the way Im now getting this suggested need too "divert my thoughts" since the incident couple nites ago(?)-not inconsistant just an airhead did you try to terminate the call after the first 1 or 2?

I didn't try to terminate it, I think I just eventually lost focus or something and it faded away.

Something happened just a couple hours ago. I was sitting at my comp when I started to hear faint ICP music floating across my mind. The song that was playing, it almost sounded like it could have been a ring tone lol. It was like a theme song saying I'm sending you a message. Then I saw my friend, and he was sitting in his house at the computer looking at me. It's like he was telling me to come over cause he had a lot of bud. I'm gonna have to ask him if he actually did that or if it's just in my head.

Suddenly (days later)know what you mean that IS an interesting comment,despite the fact it takes barek days to get it ! Im really starting to get the impression that the common consensus here is that the inherent positive and negative qualities are the defining elements of what is a true "spiritual"experience and that the inexperienced(or unaware) sensative may be confusing these mis interpereted signals he thinks he might have caught earlier in the day and further mixed up and confused by the very real SEEMING SPs as spirtual in nature and the bad energy is being over hyped as to serve as the "big proof".

I may be slightly OT:
I get images random when I meet people (even passing by them in public). Or, as soon as I awake in the morning I get images, and a statement about the image. It never is wrong. It is always confirmed within a day or so. I can meet people and tell what sort of person they are/ even if they are in difficult crises/ being abused etc,. When I get an image/statement I let it go as if it never happends- If I dwell on it, it just confuses me. Those images/statements are always before (it) happends. But, when I meet people, it's from the past things (mainly bad that is always clear), or the person's spiritual essense at the time (Im not sure what you call it). and it's not like I can go looking for it and it comes to me ... I dont really know who or why I do this. I know certain places also. They are like we are. They carry things with them too.

Yeah, ICP tries to do that. Last night I was at my friends house and we were using a music program to play ICP tracks backwards. To get the secret message in each of the Joker's Card's. You have posed a difficult question to answer honestly yet I somehow feel like I owe it to you who are here for answers the way I was early in early January so here goes in keeping with forum guidlines I will do the best I can....I am of the opinion that Yes I did get a "ping" from someone and I am fairly certain that lady was in fact alive so that would to me be indicative of something from the telepathy catagory or ESP (remember ESP?) kind of a generic term these days but it fits.
The best way i can describe it was letting my imagination run away with me and it DID, just kind of laying in bed ,mulling over what it would be like and concentrating on letting it happen and it just did is all I can say...now have more things happened ? well YES and YES and YES ...sorry thats the best i can offer!
but i am prepared to say that I do believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that these aspects of paranormality do in fact exsist where as I would call myself 70% skeptic 3-4 weeks ago. I am also convinced that a person may not ONLY have telepathic sensabilities but can at the same time also be clairvoyant /audiant and generally sensative to residual energies and also can differentiate between the positive and negative elements of these imprints or sensations...confused well so am I really dont think the "welcome notes" I got (before all hell broke lose)was from the other side, no she seemed alive and amused..etc so what has the half-dog has learned thus far:
(in his little mind)

1. mental telepathy is possible between living people, now is it an undiscovered organic process at play or are the living communicating spiritually not sure..
2. spirits can be good or bad
3. angels exist
4. demons exist
5. ghosts or earthbound spirits exist
6. psychic distress can leave a residual imprint
7. AP and OOBE states can be achieved via lucid dreaming (didnt use lucent joke again-dont feel funny)
all these are of course philisophical in nature(keeping with guidlines)
8. SP incidents ARE paranormal in nature.
now do I feel gifted? =Not really. in fact it seems to just be an ongoing curse...in fact this has made an already difficult life more complicated!..........B
