I thought while i sit hear at work...natural cures and benefits you gain from exotic and methods....

i'll start,

I had asthma very bad 10 years ago and on a few occasions called an ambulance, i took my pumps and all they done was made me more dependent on them and it got worse,

now i will note what worked on me was at my perusal,people can react differently so don't try this at home, attain knowledge of herbalist remedies and the properties that they carrie. my illness became so bad i done research and made my own method as follows;

fresh cloves, star aniseed, cumin and cardamon pods and four drops of tea tree,i placed in a saucepan brung to the boil and poured in the sink then steamed for 15 mins

i repeated this for about two weeks twice a week....i now have never since suffered with not one attack....and also to make things even more exciting i washed the water over my face which in turn brightened tightened and made my skin unbelievably soft...

i will tomorrow as i have to work wright you the properties they hold and why...but it does show you that with the wright knowledge and understanding anything is possible...

(please note i only put in the tea tree in one application as i ran out and still the benefits worked i believe its not essential and also not completely good to steam in tea tree due to its strong antiseptic properties....

ill also tell you tomorrow about how i suffered with shingles and used my own remedies after getting really ill with the medication i was given that made me catch bad flues due to it suppression of the immune system effects and the allergic reaction i got from the cream, so i took another natural approach...

happy healing everyone and be safe. tongue.gif

Coffee, for everything ever!

Coffee has been a medical whipping boy for so long that it may come as a surprise that recent research suggests that drinking moderate amounts of coffee (two to four cups per day) provides a wide range of health benefits. Most of these benefits have been identified through statistical studies that track a large group of subjects over the course of years and match incidence of various diseases with individual habits, like drinking coffee, meanwhile controlling for other variables that may influence that relationship. According to a spate of such recent studies moderate coffee drinking may lower the risk of colon cancer by about 25%, gallstones by 45%, cirrhosis of the liver by 80%, and Parkinson's disease by 50% to as much as 80%. Other benefits include 25% reduction in onset of attacks among asthma sufferers and, at least among a large group of female nurses tracked over many years, fewer suicides.

In addition, some studies have indicated that coffee contains four times the amount of cancer-fighting anti-oxidants as green tea.

And chocolate!

There have been many studies linking cocoa with health benefits.
The darker chocolate with the most concentrated cocoa will of course be the most beneficial. The following
are a list of a few health benefits we found:

Heart - Phytochemicals called flavonoids that are found in cocoa have two positive effects. One, the antioxidants block arterial damage caused by free radicals. These unstable molecules (free radicals) may damage the arterial walls by blocking the artery wall lining. The second indicates, that chocolate inhibit platelet aggregation which could cause a heart attack or stroke. There have also been studies indicating that cocoa flavonoids relax the blood vessels which inhibit an enzyme that causes inflammation.

Is chocolate healthier than green tea?
"Chocolate contains up to four times the anti-oxidants found in tea." Sound too good to be true? In fact, that was the conclusion of a recent study by Holland's National Institute of Public Health and Environment. Researchers found that chocolate - specifically dark chocolate - contains 53.5 mg of catechins per 100 grams. (Catechins are the powerful anti-oxidants that help prevent against cancer and heart disease). By contrast, 100 ml of black tea contains a mere 13.9 mg of catechins.

Eating chocolate to stay healthy? Well, why not? Scientists have established that there are important health benefits to be gained from drinking red wine, so why not chocolate as well? But as Karen Allen points out in a report for the BBC, the amount of cocoa powder in chocolates may be quite small. normal plain, milk, Chocolates often contain other ingredients, such as saturated fats, that more than outweigh the health benefits to be gained from cocoa's cancer-fighting chemicals.

More importantly, the Dutch researchers were not comparing chocolate to green tea, which is rich in catechins. Furthermore, evidence is mounting that scientists have only begun to discover the numerous health benefits associated with drinking green tea.

have you got any natural remedys that work for heartburn, i get it really bad.....

I'm not sure if it is true, but I heard that some people got rid of their asthma just with extendent exercise. I don't know if they actually got rid of it or they just made it so they can run easier.

But I am not sure about any natural remedies. I heard that garlic helps with some things, which is why my grandma used to sneak garlic in everything, but I am not sure how true it is.

It's pretty basic but I gargle with warm salt water at the first sign of a sore throat or tonsils..I also use warm olive oil to cure ear-aches..
Whenever I feel a cold coming on I also drink an insane amount of alcohol..For some reason the cold seems to disappear after that.

Honey, the substance that saved the life of king Henry V.

Honey is composed of sugars like glucose and fructose and minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron and phosphate. It contains vitamins B1, B2, C, B6, B5 and B3 all of which change according to the qualities of the nectar and pollen. Besides the above, copper, iodine, and zinc exist in it in small quantities. Several kinds of hormones are also present in it.

Honey may also be good for your skin. It has the ability to attract water. You can use honey instead of alpha hydroxy masks because of its high content of the acid. It is also safe for sensitive skin.
You can also use it as a moisturizing mask for your skin as well as your hair. To use it as a conditioner, mix the honey with olive oil.

If you have a sore throat, take some honey.Due to its natural anti-inflammatory effect, it will help to heal the wounds more quickly. It also has different phytochemicals--chemicals found in plants and different foods--that kill viruses, bacteria, and fungus making it a good substitute for wound dressings. The taste may also take your mind off the pain,i done this only a week ago as i had the first symptoms of flu and was getting bad conjestive mucus on the back of my throat and nasal opening so i had lightly toastedsoy and lecting wholemeal bread laced with honey, the bread act as an abbrasive and the honey kills and heals off bad viral infection.

another great tip i use is a fermenting concoction of green tea lavenda or manuka honey ginger and lemons, which in turn you can boil up and drink ike tea, this is a great method of reducing and killing off illnesses!.

another meathod of honey is to lightly apply to cuts and infections as the honey will rapidly kill external bacteria aswell!

have you got any natural remedys that work for heartburn, i get it really bad.....

first of all you may find your gaining heart burn through eating certain foods like potatoes, starchy and slow burning...when i get heart burn, normally from potatoes or too much garlic or just being plain greedy! i take two table spoons of aloe vera in fresh juice or for better results straight from the cap, another is two tea spoons of distilled vinegar, or the natural healing affects of manuka honey, for manuka on the other hand is the only honey i know that works on heart burn but any other i havent researched on.

i contracted shingles on holiday it really came up gradually until one morning it was a shock to see my handsome young face (well top of my forehead)welting with this blistering oozing "i feel sick explaining it,i'll stop there!)the pain was unbearable, well i as i explained on my first post it was a nightmare and the reaction to the cream was bad and i felt ill as the med that they give you acts as a suppressant to the immune system, which we all know isn't good....anyway it eventually pushed it back into the bottom of my spine where it lays dormant until it is triggered again...and triggered again is what it done, the next time i repeated again all the meds and it went, but on the third i found out insanely i had recurring shingles(At my age!),yes! long nights out, lack of sleep, and having a sensitive immune system gave it plenty of opportunities to stem back again, i thought to myself i cant keep taking this synthetic crap(i had to do something!),and do something is what i did, through understanding of the virus and lots of research i found a solution, shingles herpes zoster virus only reaccurs when the immune system is at its lowest and these are usually caused through stress and external to internal over abuse of luxuries of life i'e alcohol, smoking, and constant late night, but as stated it is stress that can ultimately cause the drop of the immune system,so healthy changes where in the agenda a complete check on my eating habits, and a vast amount of immune building vegetables and fruit especially peppers green yellow and red which all contain high concentrates of vitamin C,so thats the internal symptoms so what about the external, well all you have to do is dry the welts and blisters out so i used bergamot and mandarin essential oils mixed with a few drops of olive oil, twice -three times a day and at night warmed manuka honey and tea tree oil.....cured! it took roughly a week to push away the virus but i gained the benefits, look after your bodie and supply it with the natural medicinal resources and live your life with a positive attitude and stress free and you'll over surcome any illness or virus,i have never had it back since. laugh.gif

Papya enzyme with Chlorophyl to stop it.
Bowel Detox to clean you system.
Colloidal Minerals to keep your system in the proper condition.

Find out why your stomach is bleeding or why there is acid in your digestive tube.

Heartburn is not always caused by acid. There is a commercial that shows a guy talking to a doctor about his heartburn and she waves her hand in front of her and the guy says, 'She explained that too much acid can eat up the lining of my esophagus.' Yeah, yeah, well if the lining is eaten up the blood supply to that lining will have nowhere to end up and you end up with blood in the tube and blood will eat up anything. But, it wouldn't get that far without you having to do something about it.

If you get it really bad, is it everything you eat or just spicy food? Or what causes you to get heartburn? If you can, stop it for awhile and start doing those things that I say. Then you may be able to safely eat the things that cause heartburn.

That's also acid reflux -- heart burn. I had horrible acid reflux when I was younger. It was so bad that I developed peptic ulcers and my esophagus literally dissolved. I had stomach surgery twice before I turned 3.

It's all gone now yes.gif Went away naturally. Many people outgrow it, like they do lactose intolerance.

Lavender oil under the nose for a headache. For heartburn I hear if you lie on your left side that it will go away, but i've tried it and it doesn't work for me lol.
frogfish
Heart burn is caused by acid-reflux in your esophagus, so lying down won't help.
