So last night, like almost everynight... ok every night, I was sitting back enjoying the taste and aroma of some fine *** and the thought came to me, why is it so common in religion and spirituality to feel we must do X or Y to get off this Earth and go somewhere else, Heaven, Valhalla lol, etc?

What if our purpose is not to become spiritual people so after death we can leave this world but to bring the spiritual to this world while in life? Are we going against the intended flow? Should we be populating the Earth with spirit rather than doing X or Y to receive our ticket out?

What if saying this place is Hell or some testing ground to get into Heaven is wrong and our true purpose is to bring the spiritual to this world? I'd say we have right screwed it up then lol.

I then wondered if the state of "here" is so bleek due to this general attitude that we eventually leave and go to Heaven, Paradise, etc? Are we generally failing to take responsibility because subconciously we believe we go somewhere else after death?

The image of a long queue of people came to mind, everyone anxiously waiting to gain admittance to "the party" when the purpose is to bring the party here. Things then got a little more bleek, I imagined a building on fire and everyone scrambling to reach the fire exits, shoving each other, jostling to get out only to re-enter the building from the other side, reminded me of the cartoons with the hallway full of doors that all lead back to the hallway, I laughed, stupid humans lol.

I then remembered a shamanic teaching from somewhere, cant recall at this time, that said our purpose was to open the door to the spirit realm so they could experience this place. I pondered the thought of many layers or reality from absolute spiritual to absolute physical with layers of varying degrees inbetween. As the next layer was "spiritualized" the next layer of the physical was opened up and slowly it too was spiritualized only to open the next until spirit penetrated every layer of reality, then the words "YOU WIN" flashed across the "screen". I laughed what a crappy video game that would make lol.

Well anyways at this time I believe we have our flow all wrong, instead of seeking to get out we should be seeking to bring in, I say at this time because I might not believe this tomorrow, heck even tonight so dont quote me on this lol.

I believe you answered your own question in your first statement.
You need an escape because you are not happy where you are at, or you would not need that taste and aroma.

Nice try but that goes against what I was saying, being why does it seem everyone is looking to "escape" to Heaven, etc, I'm thinking we should be reversing the flow.

Also as I replied in the Omega thread, that story reminded me of my life, everything is the best its ever been for me personally, given a time machine I would go to right now, I taught my girl some reality molding visualization techniques or "magic" and now we're doubled up, we get whatever we want. We're thinking of buying a house these days, the problem is the place we rent right now is so kickass that we dont want to leave it. Wanna see a picture of place which is pratically our backyard?

I'm not one of those depressed, angry at my mom Satanists, more like a suit and tie BMW Satanist lol.

So ya as I was saying, why do Christians seek an esacpe, are they that unhappy lol.

That’s a very beautiful place in your back yard; it kind of reminds me of Victoria British Columbia thumbsup.gif .
I am a 50 years old Christian and hope to live to a hundred and fifty.
I am not in any hurry to escape life in any way. I loved being a child, teen and adult and look forward to being a senior citizen.
I am glad that you are content as you are even if you have to wear the suite and tie, you probably look smarter and sharper as a Satanist compared to those old unfashionable robes and hoods.
All the best

Excellent read! original.gif I think it's exactly on point. If believers believe souls come from god, then what is to be put on this earth but gods spirit!? What is there to work for, after life, when gods essence is alive, here!? It's ego's that imagine a battle of opponents and adversaries, which made adversity disruptive in applied chaos, world wide. Mind at a time. And those that know the "rules" to keep the order, they are empowered to do so and keep it all in line. But it's them that tells us what we're seeing has a reason, to be at odds with itself. So really, what wisdom is there when we're led to believe we're all different, living here together. And there's just one way to do it right to make for world peace. How optimistic that'll happen in a lifetime. A global accord of one mind. Borrrrring!!

But what if we reveled in our diversity!? Just as different organs in the human body, work to make a whole person, why can't all those souls, believers believe come from god, believe they can see one another in that light and create a holistic world view?! Seeing each one of us worthy of respect, just because we add to the picture!?

Maybe it's because we've all been led to believe there's a desperate need to be selfish. Which is what we're living now. Accepting there's one personal philosophy, one way to "do it right", and then seeing the whole world as having to come into compliance to do it just so. That's selfish. And everyone, believers and non, are invested in keeping that alive. Looking out for number one. Makes for a hell of a visual, on a planet populated as more than one. And when will it all change!? When we're dead. That's the common accord. We are creators already. This world is what we work to make it, faiths in tow. We did this. And we'll keep doing it as long as we keep thinking the way we do. Even when we think we're breaking the mold, we're not. We're just re-adjusting the view. Just like Elele's. "insight" into what prompted him to post this thread. What life do you live to judge the messenger, when the message is what speaks to those for whom it is meant to mean something more. I don't care if you're sucking on a chicory, if you have something to take with you for the experience, that makes the journey a little more than mundane, it serves it's purpose in making the next step unique. And if what was learned speaks to more than one, that's how progress takes it's seed. Daring to think outside the box, begins by giving credit to the judgment there is more than the box.

Love the wisdom Elele. Thank you! thumbsup.gif

Thanks Goddess, lately I have found myself seeking out the spiritual teachings of others because I enjoy challenging them at the very root of their outlook. If some guru, hell if Buddha said, Jesus said and every other spiritual teacher of mankind agreed on one thing I would enjoy disagreeing with them on it lol. And why not? Why do they just GET to be right? I dont care who they are lol!

This is the 21st century, I think we need 21st century ideas not ideas and concepts that have already had their day, their chance to shine. We need to reverse the flow, stop dreaming of that happy place when we die *slap across the face* wake up daydreamers lol, start envisioning how to make this planet your vision. Stop looking for salvation from your own mind, stop dreaming of your reward to get out of here. This is the only Heaven you need....

linked-image

... what if this is our only reward? Why would we be put here only to prove we are worthy to leave? Is it that bad here or have we only made it that bad here, crapping all over it dreaming of the day we get to leave. Makes me think of the Rapture Ready Christians in the US, living the most tortured existence drinking Starbucks, driving their over-sized SUVs, watching 16 hours of TV a day all the while dreaming of the day Jesus will save them from this torture LOL! Oh poor poor you.

When I die I'm coming back here, even if the pearly gates open up and God comes to greet me, hes getting the middle finger, I'm coming back. Even if I break the cycle of reincarnation I'm going to say f'it I'm going back. If the Invisible Pink Unicorn becomes visible and has an open saddle just waiting for me, its getting a finger to the eye and a kick in the face, I'm making some glue to bring back with me, glue is always handy to have around, like rope lol.

Judaic and eastern Christian views on the future do not entail the heaven or hell trip at all. They see a future that has a restored spirituality right here on this earth. I think humans are destined to be earth dwellers and have nothing to do with the other dimensions at all. Everyone that has died is dead.
