Signs that your residence may have visitors of from beyond: and i don't mean :aliens

Unexplained noises - footsteps; knocks, banging, rapping; scratching sounds; sounds of something being dropped. Sometimes these noises can be subtle and other times they can be quite loud.

Doors, cabinets and cupboards opening and closing - most often, these phenomena are not seen directly. The witness either hears the distinct sounds of the doors opening and closing or the witness will return to a room to find a door open or closed when they are certain that it was left in the opposite position. Sometimes furniture, like kitchen chairs, are perceived to have been moved. Very rarely will the witness actually see the phenomenon taking place.

Lights turning off and on - these events are seldom seen actually occurring, but the lights are switched on or off when the witness knows they were not left that way. This can also happen with TVs, radios and other electrically powered items.

Items disappearing and reappearing - this phenomenon, is the familiar experience of not being able to find a regularly used item - say, your set of car keys - which you believe you placed in a spot you routinely place them. But they're gone and you look high and low for them with no success. Some time later, the keys are found - in exactly the place you normally put them. It's as if the object was borrowed by someone or something for a short time, then returned. Sometimes they are not returned for days or even weeks, but when they are, it's in an obvious place that could not have been missed by even a casual search.

Unexplained shadows - the sighting of fleeting shapes and shadows, usually seen out of the corner of the eye. Many times, the shadows have vaguely human forms, while other times they are less distinguishable or smaller.

Strange animal behavior - a dog, cat or other pet behaves strangely. Dogs may bark at something unseen, cower without apparent reason or refuse to enter a room they normally do. Cats may seem to be watching something cross a room. Animals have sharper senses than humans, and many researchers think their psychic abilities might be more finely tuned also.

I grew up in an active haunted house - all i can say is it's like living in a slight but constant 'joke', not really scarey, at least i didn't find it as so, but constantly finding things moved or missing around your enviroment, noises of activity when you know there is either no one in or everyone is in bed. Your pets reaction correspond with what you sense/notice. For me my very first expereinces of seeing a manifested spirit to the naked eye was in that house...later backed up by the previous owners who'd also sighted this particular spirit... All I know is the vast difference between growing up and living there as opposed to where I live now, which is not an actively haunted house.

Hmm, if a place is hunted, then it will skulk around your property and shriek with fear every time a loud noise is made. It'll also disappear if a larger house decides to eat it.

But if it's haunted!

That's phyiscal manfestations you're talking about there. What you should be more wary of is the feeling of cold. People have a lot more senses than they realise, and a sensation of being watched or simply feeling cold may actually be the only inkling you get.

And on the topic of animals; they have a much better hearing that we have. Therefore; they may be actually listening to a smaller animal or a nextdoor neighbour's pet. Dogs and cats; as well as rats, do not stick around haunted properties for very long unless the spirit is nuetral.

You forgot to mention that if your place is haunted you may find yourself on occasion having to "fight" your fridge after its been possessed.

Good luck with that.

As the OP hasn't decided to give credit to the creator of the material I am going to close this thread; it isn't fair for a person to have their material used without consent or credit. It is illegal and against forum rules.
