I decided to post this here too, since it is as ghostly as it is anything else I guess. Here is the link to the original posting. http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...showtopic=86107
After I asked her if her step-dad ever contacted her again, she reminded me of an experience she had a few months ago. I always respond like it's no big deal, but honestly, sometimes she freaks me out.
Her biological Dad passed away last fall. They were not close growing up, but recently she had made contact with that side of her family. He was hesitant, but after a few brief get-togethers, they kind of hit it off. He was a cool old dude, and he realized his daughter just wanted to get to know him, not get anything from him. We found out after he passed away that he kept a picture of her in her military uniform on him, and showed it to all his "good ole boy" friends at work and the local hangouts. He also kept all her letters and cards. I think if he had lived, they would have become pretty good buddies. It was pretty sad when he passed away. She really felt like she had lost a chance at a good relationship.
A few weeks after the funeral, my wife expressed to me another odd dream she had. She was somewhere with her step-sisters, and her Dad was there. They ran up to him, happy to see him, acting like he was alive and well. My wife said, "What are you doing here? Your dead." He replied, "I came back to see you one more time". Then he stepped forward and gave her a big bear-hug. At this point my wife woke up, under the blankets, freezing cold. She couldn't warm up, and got out of bed to turn on the heat or go make coffee, and realized that the cold was IN the bed, and she was immediately warmer out of the bed. (No, she's not an ice-queen, she can actually be pretty warm sometimes).
I'll try to drag more stuff out of her. She's not a big time mystical, paranormal person, so she rolls her eyes at me when I ask her to relate a story to me.
