Hey Guys,
I think kids are pretty suceptable to phenomena than adults are. Anyhow, This was right after that movie "The Exorcism of Emily Rose had came out" Now, My Fiance and I hadn't seen that movie before.
So my stepdaughter (she was 4 at the time) before she went to bed she'd be like " Goodnight guys, see you at 3) So the first time, we were like Okaaay......Then she comes in that night to our bedroom exactly at 3am. So this went on for 3 or 4 nights, and it really started to creep us out....so when she'd go to bed she'd say " See you at 3" and w'ed start to question it, but she didn't have an answer as to why she wanted to wake up at 3...or where she heard that from. 4 year olds don't really have a concept of time....so it was very odd....

Then My fiance was working nights, and they all watch movies at work....He had rented the "Exorcism of emily Rose" So i get a call from him...and he says, this is the craziest thing.....In the movie they said that 3am is the devils hour....and in the movie...all the creepy things happened at 3 am.

Do any of you guys know anything of this?
jonas16
Nope, sorry, never heard about the 3 am thing. But it sure sounds Spooky.

That is kinda weird. I don't think Ive ever experienced anything strange myself, but the movie did creep me out after, IF I did happen to be up around that time. I'd make sure my husband would come home just before that hour if he was out. That movie really weirded me out for a bit. I would call and harass him.."are you sure your on your way, your not lying to me right, you HAVE to be here before 3!" blink.gif
Hooligan
I know! It was super creepy....!
asc.rudeboy
yea she was determined to be up at 3,,,she would ask me daddy will you wake me up at 3 if im not up,,hah and the couple times i woke up with her staring at us,,when i asked her what was wrong all she wanted to know,,,what time is it,,i looked at the clock,,dammit,,baby its 3 in th morning,,she would say ok and go back to bed..haha just crazy.

then when they said the on emily rose hah i got the creeps..but it didnt last long she sleeps all night now,
Hooligan
Yea, she's not creepy anymore, that was the only incident....she doesn't even get up in the middle of the night anymore.

altho she will make refrences to my dad that she never met, saying she misses him and she loves him, i tend to just blow it off but i do remember her picking him out in a photo waaay before anyone ever talked about him,,he died when i was like 6 ,,so my step dad was the only grandpa she ever knew,,but at 2 almost 3 she picked my dad out of a photo and called him pawpaw frank...that kinda made me take a step back that day.
Hooligan
I roughly remember watching a show on tv about "Crystal Children" I wanna say?
I'm not saying our child is one of them. But they talked about them having larger than normal eyes...and that they have Psychic tendencies.....Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Sweetpumper
Is that along the same lines as "Indigo Children"?
OlDrippy34
You should probably kill her, just to be on the safe side.
Sweetpumper
That was uncalled for.
OlDrippy34
If you're too uptight to take a joke then yeah, probably.
Sweetpumper
You're right, it was hilarious.

It may have been "Indigo Children"....Do you know anything about that?

And I really don't want to kill our daughter.....But I've put red sand around the perimeter of her room....JK

Okay I was reading this thread and I answered the phone just as I read this and I almost choked. LMFAO!!

I wub.gif you so much Drippy!!

On a side note, sounds like she's set her internal clock to wake up at 3, but the fact that she's a 4 year old is strange. I wouldn't think she'd have a concept of time. Is there something that happens at 3 that she could relate to? Like a clock chiming or an animal making a noise or something else that could have it's internal clock set for 3am?
Hooligan
No not at that time.....She listens to the radio when she sleeps now....but she didn't listen to anything at that time.
Her Daddy gets up to go to work at like 5....so maybe she had heard someone say "3oclock in the morning" and associated it with him getting up at 5am.
I'm not sure....all I know is that it was CREEPY....

no it was just really random one night she asked me to wake her up at 3,,i explained i dont get up till 5 but that didnt make any diffrence she insisted on waking up at 3,and she did for about 2 or 3 weeks, then it stoped just like it started...and we joked about her waking up and sneeking in our room,it just made the movie emily rose seem realy scary because of what was going on at home...but then it ended just as it began no fuss no muss.

i know what sarcasm is ,,dont take my post wrong man im thick skined i can take a joke and i found the humor in it,,i was just busting balls..
OlDrippy34
Which part was sarcastic? The agreement that it was funny, or the righteous indignation on behalf of the parents who weren't offended?
Sweetpumper
Since they don't care, it really dosen't matter, now does it? It may behoove you to get back on topic.
Hooligan
Yea, it was a pretty crazy situation, I wonder about her sometimes...she's ridiculously smart, you'd never guess she was 5 years old with the way she talks.....She picks up on things sooo fast too.....and with directions....she remembers everything.....she knows if youre going the wrong way. Or she can tell you where people live.....like not off the top of her head, but if you're driving...she'll be like, you need to turn here!
Sweetpumper
There's plenty of sites with info on Indigo Children. You'll probably find yourself reading for hours.
Hooligan
Cool thankyou! I'll look it up today!
I was thinking it was called Crystal Children for whatever reason.

Yes, 3am is the magic hour for the demon hounds to go on the prowl. This has been known to many Spiritualists and Religious people. However, in your case I really think that it was just something that the child picked up from somewhere subconsciously. If there is no other signs, such as irritibility, moodiness and isolation, then I think you can relax original.gif.

I was raised recognizing 3am as "the witching hour" (my grandmother's choice of words), as it's the deepest, darkest part of the night no matter where you are are or what time of year it is. I don't know if it was as a result of this belief or not, but I find now that I can never sleep before 3am, and if I should fall asleep in the early evening (before dark) I always wake up before 3am. Strange, but true. I figure I've just configured my internal clock oddly, over the years. I also used to go into my parents' room when I woke up (always around 3am), but that was just because I was awake and afraid of the dark. grin2.gif

Personally, I'd say if it's all over now and she's sleeping fine, don't worry about it. You never know where she could have picked that phrase up - I think kids notice more than we give them credit for.

It has been proven children are more open to psychic phenomenon I would see if you can look into getting some kids of charm or crystal to put in her bedroom to ward off negative spirits for her sake. If she is channelling negative spirits it is not good to let it go on. Like in our lounge room we have a chinese symbol to ward off evil spirits and I like having it there for the sake of peace of mind if nothing else. I know what you mean by freaky experiences with children my daughter is very psychic in my opinion and I am sure she talks to spirits and one time I saw her in her room reacting exactly as if she was being tickled but no one was there. I try to keep her protected because she don't think she really knows what is going on and that it is not normal she is only 3. But when she was much younger we had to move house because we had a negative spirit stalking her and this spirit was bad one time I found her curled up in the fetal position in the corner of her cot. That was really scary and I am glad that when we moved it went away. So don't laugh it off because it has stopped happening because a negative entitiy can really hurt a child because they don't know how to get rid of them or that it is not good to talk to them. I would say that you were having a very freaky experience.
Hooligan
We put a dream catcher in her room awhile back....I don't know if that wards off anything evil haha

Earlier we were speaking of the Emily Rose movie, and while watching it in the theater when all the hubub was made about the 3am thing, I leaned over to my daughter and asked her if she thought demons were on central or mountain time.

Good point about the time zones Coldethyl. Hmmm.
