I have a few to mention. Enjoy

I was lying in bed with my girlfriend and went into sp. You know this when everything around you does strange things. The light was on in the hallway and i could see a shadow moving. It was getting bigger as it got closer to the bedroom door. during sp i turned to my girlfriend and to try to wake her up. Then when i turned to her. She was speaking in tongues with her eyes closed. I tried to scream or move but was in paralysis. So i moved my toes to wake up. It was freakin scary.

Another one was, when i got into sp, i could hear children playing. I was lying on my back but during sp i was on my stomach. So i couldn't see the children playing. Could only hear them. Then My body felt like i was floating towards the ceiling and then went back down to my bed. This time i was lying on my back. I could see a man in a black robe standing on the side of my bed looking at me. After that, felt like something was sitting on my chest. couldn't see what it was. It was like a shadow.

Most of my sp are encounters with shadows moving closer to were i'm sleeping. I usually try to scream. When i do its really drains me. I can actually scream during sp. its not loud but my brother has heard me scream while i was in sp. I try to wake myself when i know i'm going to sp. But sometimes i would just let my body go in sp. When i do this, it feels like i'm sinking into the ground and everything in the room starts to go freaky on me. People have told me not to do this as you can die. Don't know if that's true.
I've had so many sp experience. I'll try to think of another sp event

I've had a lot of SP experiences. I've had the typical feeling that someone else is in my room. Demons, aliens, ghosts, shadows, and so on. I've also had the feeling I was floating in the room too.

Many times I've experienced loud, noises during SP. Once I was supposedly witnessing a galatic war, LOL. dream yes, but the loud noises of the "weapons", were almost unbearable. I felt actual pain in my ears drums, even after I awoke.

A lot of times I dream, I wake up during SP, only to find out I didn't wake up after all. This can actually happen like 3 times during one SP episode, really freaky. The other day I had tiny SP "aftershocks". After I woke up from my SP dream, I went to go sleep with my mommy (yes I'm a sheltered 23 year old LOL). I would sort of doze of into SP for seconds, and hear unitelligeble words, something I only seemed to understand during SP. Seriously, it was just seconds, and I'd start to understand during the SP, but would wake up, and loose the sense of understanding, it was to quick for me to remember, what I was so called understanding. LOL.

SP is really scary sometimes, other times I don't mind it. I've been able to time myself a couple of times, finding my SP to last for about 20 minutes, when to me it seems like forever. I know this, because during continuous SP episodes, when I do manage to awake, I will look at the clock, and try to get up quick. However, I sometimes can't, sleep overcomes me, and I am back again to having SP.

God bless you. I post any other things I remember, honestly I've had it so many times, I sometimes forget, but reading everyone elses experiences, reminds me I too have had the same thing happen to me. Yet, no hag, hmm.

I've had that "girlfriend speaking in tongues" thing. Freakin weird innit?

I've only had one major attack - woke up to see bright lights and figures standing over me. My arms were trapped by my sides, and I felt something being pushed down my throat. I managed to shake myself free and wake up properly, spoke to my ma about it, and she said that after I was born I was ill and wouldn't eat anything and had to be fed Ribena through a tube while she held my arms to stop be from squirming.

So it was a kind of direct memory.

Other than that its the usual shadows n' screaming extravaganza.

My sp started about three months ago and I've had it about 6 or so times. Every time I wake up feeling like my whole body is vibrating. The first time I was convinced it was a bomb in the house somewhere and even after I woke up I made my hubby check the house lol.

I've only experienced the "figure" thing once, but it was more like a feeling of something or someone than actually seeing it. Freaky though.

Also, I get to the point where I can move my fingers and then if I stop, they go paralysed again and I have to totally get up for a while.

The vibrations thing drives me crazy though. Does any one else get this?

I have been suffering from SP for about 15 years now but haven’t had an episode for about 3 months, with me I wake up panicky and scared only to find that I am paralyzed and cant move. I find if I concentrate on moving ether my toes or fingers then literally trying to throw my arm or leg this knocks it off then I immediately fall asleep again and some nights it reoccurred. Sometimes I get the feeling some one is in the room but have never seen any one though I have experienced a high pitched screaming noise as if its in my ears all I can do is grit my teeth, this does not actually scare me as when it happens I know whats going on and can sometimes drift back to sleep.

I have never told any one about this experience till to day and have always thought it had something to do with a mental illness I may be going to suffer, I don’t know what causes it but I don’t think it is a natural occurrence.

I've had many. But the first of many to follow that I actually recall was this (and I don't actually know if this one qualifies as an SP episode, but here goes..):

At the time I lived with my boyfriend in an apartment with our bulldog. I "woke up" and saw the dog pooping in the living room and I was screaming out to him "NO!!"

It was crystal clear to me as things are in waking moments, and it startled me when my boyfriend hit me on the shoulder and I actually woke up that time and realized I was sitting up in the bed facing the doorway. I was apparently screaming out to the dog, who was in reality sleeping next to the bed and gazed up at me with a confused look like "what did I do?!"

LOL!! blink.gif

Another one was me "waking up" in my apartment and seeing a shadow/silhouette of a man trying to peer into my window. I saw the man pull up his arms to try to view into my window blinds and my heart raced with fear and I didn't know what to do. But I couldn't move either, just paralyzed. When the fear finally became unbearable and my heart was about pounding out of my chest, I actually woke up and realized there was nobody there, but I was so scared and my adrenaline was pumping thru my veins. I couldn't sleep for hours after that one.

I don't know. But everyone has heard of people dying in their sleep. Anvil might know more about sp than i do and if she says no then that's your answer

Ive been having SP for 28 years. ( Started when I was 8. I still remember it) I have had the floating, vibrations, waking up and getting pulled back in, thinking I woke up when I did not, feelings of evil in the room, shadows. Ive had them all. Saw a rat sitting on my boyfriends pillow one time. It was so scary. Mostly Im used to it now.

For me when I get it, I feel like my bed and or body vibrates. I also feel like Im on drugs. It causes me to become very Disoriented. I hate it.

I have only had SP 4 or 5 times in my life and until recently had no idea what was going on, so it scared the bejeebers out of me. Then one day I watched a program on SP and thought "Yep. Bingo! That's me."

Normally it's just the usual unable to move, feeling someone threatening nearby but unable to see them, and yeah vibrations. However the last time was a little different.

I woke up and thought "This is weird." I felt tightly constricted and of course unable to move at all. Suddenly I felt something rushing at me and felt it stop directly in front of my face (my SP buddy as I call it). I couldn't see anything and I distinctly remember thinking "Whoa!! Calm down! It's only sleep paralysis! That's all!" Then I felt my whole body being hauled to my feet and WHACK! smacked into the wall.

(The way I was sleeping is my bed is flush to the wall on one side of the bed and at the end. I have a tendency to 'scrunch' all the way down, so generally my feet touch or almost touch the end wall. This is where I whacked into.) Then I flew down to the bed, all the while my toes still on the bed. Hitting the wall didn't hurt and I remember thinking "WHEEEEEEEE!" as I went flying up and down.

I was hauled up and down again twice more in rapid succession each time hitting the wall and the bed. I felt the wind on my face as I swooshed through the air and I had the "tickles"in my belly like when you go down a steep hill too fast. My body was 'stiff' and constricted and my arms flush to my body. It was like a lever being pulled 90 degrees up and down.

I remember thinking "SP! It's only SP! You will be able to move soon! SP!!!!!" over and over again. After that , I felt my little SP buddy fly away from my face and a few seconds after that I could move again. Thank goodness I was lucid and knew what was happening or I would have screamed the house down!

Luckily I haven't had an episode for over a year now.......fingers crossed! wink2.gif
