Aztec Warrior
It appears to have gone but I captured about 8 photos.

Well I'm not to sure what it is, i guess it could be a cloud, or gas from the volcano, to bad there are no close ups. In all the frames it doesn't seem to move very much. The last frame however does seem to reflect light from the "object" hmm.gif

It wasn' smoke or clouds. In the timelapse of the photos, the steam and clouds move right past the stationary object. I took an editing closeup and the object is something solid and metallic looking. In fact, there were two but the first moved away followed by the second a short time later.
Aztec Warrior
Ok, i stacked all the photos up to compare the position of the object. Because the camera is stationary, one can see the object move forward, back and sideways. I could post all 8 photos if anyone is interested.

It appears to have gone but I captured about 8 photos.

I was able to magnify to 900%, crop and resize all 3 pics (there was no other editing done). The last one (7) showed something interesting.

if you look at 900pc&resizedpopoufo7.jpg (sorry about size, I did not want to loose the detail or pixilation) you will see that the "object" almost looks edited (smeared?), which is not visible on the other 2. I created b&red900pc&resizedpopoufo7.jpg I colour what I am trying to draw your attention to. AW said lasted 8 pics then was gone, black and red picture seems to show it fading (phasing?)? Not really sure what else to call it. I hope my pics help, and I am anxious to see the feedback.

Thanks

Anybody checking the link out. This is amazing, must be 3 or 4. One is hovering at the top. It is a perfectly clear day with no clouds.

In these two photos check out the time 12:24-12:28, notice the new object that just appears.

Thanks for reviewing the photos. I have been watching the cam for years, almost everyday. Todays events have me locked on to the cam in fascination.
Cinders
Very nice cam link there Aztec.. Thank you for posting it.

But I think I know what this is that you are seeing there .. (and please don't be upset with me)
because I've seen this on a few other web cams around here in Washington and Oregon.

See example pics of a few below from a web cam I occassionally watch in Stevenson Washington, along the Columbia River that separates Washington & Oregon.
Before he showed up on the web cam and before the sun set further in to the WEST, I was seeing what you were seeing
But then, later.... then I caught him in the act :

That's a cool theory Cinders. Could've been a hatching nearby and one of the babies parachutes got laid across the cam's path... interesting...

Did you watch it before looking for UFO activity? I mean are viewers supposed to be able to see UFO's, or is this sighting just completely out of the blue?
Cinders
Ok, here is a better example.. and without the spider in the way....

View this here (I compiled the pics I had on the same day here, and have it set at 5 FPS):

For the heck of it, I slowed the same images to 1 FPS to view online here:
http://img179.imageshack.us/my.php?image=s...d4222006gr2.swf

The white things are spider webs reflecting in the sun, while blowing around in the wind
.. as for those black things that you see that go by.. not so sure what those are, but they might just be birds. Odd looking but probably just birds

Jumping to the conclusion that whatever this was is a UFO just doesn't look good on you, bud. It could have been anything, and even if it was a UFO, the picture is so inconclusive it's not even worth mentioning.

Celumnaz
well, case isn't closed and until he knew what it was... it was unidentified, and an object, that appeared to be in some kind of flight... I wouldn't slam the man for that. We're all wrong at different times and I for one was glad to learn something new from Cinders original.gif
lost_shaman
I'd tend to think Cinders is pretty close to the mark on this one.

I've also seen similar artifacts on webcams apparently caused by scratches on the lens or lens coverings.

Not jumping to anything. I watch this particular web cam to give me an idea of the local weather and if the volcano looks like it might erupt and kill us all here. I took a series of captured videos and can tell you honestly they are strange. I really doubt it "could have been anything." Perhaps it was a wierd clould or a spider web, although it didn't have the streaks of the web. Nor did it have the motion of a cloud, especially when it travels the other way. But thx for you input.
Pitviper
Cinders That's a good image i live in oregon and i watch the cam's also. But that image of the op looks like a cloud.

I don't think that I'm slamming anyone; I just think itsn't appropriate to be calling this a UFO so quickly because there are other possibilities that can't be ruled out in this instance. It could be an anomolous cloud, ice crystals, something on the camera lens, a lens flare, etc. Unless these things can be ruled out in some valid manner rather than by conjecture or wishful thinking, then this can't realistically be called a UFO. Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to go around debunking everything; I'd just like to see some reason and logic used in these kinds of situations.

I never said it was an alien flying saucer. Just something unidentified....flying in the air near the volcano and some type of object. You decide. I like it when things can easily be explained, because the alternative is that we're being invaded and will soon all be alien slaves. laugh.gif

I'm sorry, but you did use the term UFO, and I'm quite certain that when you used it you were claiming that it was any old "unidentified flying object" rather the specific meaning that we all associate with UFO. Why not simply say that there's something odd or strange about in the picture, instead?

Well, now that a report comes in from an Airline (see topic UFO 200 meters from Airline) it provides more evidence of UFO activity around the volcano. The date is just 10 days different, but in the exact same location.

thats exactly what it is dude...........a UFO

dont blame others because you jump to conclusions when you hear the term UFO........millions of people see UFO's everyday.......most of them are planes and weather patterns but to the untrained eye it doesnt make them any less UFO's

as for the pics AW the most odd thing i noticed was how the object seemed to go drastically up when it was over the cauldron of the volcano.....or came down after it got past the caldron....depending on which way it was moving
