The unrated version of Saw 3 just came out on video here, and it's awesome. I've got to tell you, when they were doing the brain surgery my head actually kind of hurt. My elbows were getting little twitches too when that guy was in that torture device that puts your arms into a 180. I'd have to say the most disgusting part is when the judge is getting ground up pigs splattered on him. Anyone else seen the unrated version yet?
By the way, I missed what the letter said when Jigsaw's disciple was reading it. Can somebody tell me what it said?

i have the unrated version too.i was surprised at how gory it was.like when the guy was in the thing that twists his arms and legs, and you can see his bones breaking and hear them.the pig part was also pretty gross but not as bad as that twisting thing.or the torture machine that just took out that chicks ribcage.i'm not to sure what the letter said.

I had my eyes covered during that twisting torture scene. But I heard it! Sounded quite icky. But all in all it was a fairly decent movie.

All those scenes were in the theatrical version....is there anything that's actually different with the Unrated version? There seldom is, but you never know.

I never had the time to go and see it in theaters, so I'm not sure what is in the Unrated DVD and what isn't. As far as the film is concerned, I thought it was inferior to the first two.
The first one I loved, and the second was as good as sequel can get, but I didn't like the third as much, probably because the story just didn't have as much mystery too it as the others did. But "Saw 4" will be released in October, so we'll see.

I have recently purchased Saw 3 on Saturday . I can't spoil anything, but I will say, it is just as good as anything else as the last two. Many times people ask the question of whether horror movies are actually better than the last {or second to last}, and neglect to ask whether or not it is really "one long horror movie". It was worth waiting for. I eventually owned Saw, and rented Saw 2, and I finally purchased Saw 3. All unrated.
The way it goes - as far as I am concerned, this is one of the best horror flicks ever known besides Silence of the Lambs. > considering detetives/policework and Se7en in the gory zone.
But the Saw series is absolutely #1 for gory.

Jigsaw died right? So Saw 4 is going to be about that other guy taking up the role?

I read on some website that Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) signed up to be in the 4th Saw... what I'm thinking is that the guy who "killed" him at the end will have to try and save him so that he will be able to find his daughter. Makes sense.. right? Since I believe the man was a doctor, because in a flashback they showed him and his wife arguing at an office desk and I think he was wearing a doctors coat, no? I just got Saw 3 so I'll have to re-watch it but that's just my idea. Oh and the letter to amanda, they never showed what it said..just she read it and then freaked out so I'm sure we'll find out in the next saw. I'm looking forward to it.

Ive only seen the movie once when it was in theaters but I thought Jigsaw officially was dead. I thought "the guy" was the only person to survive that movie. Who else is alive from the series? The kid from Saw 2...Did Danny Glover's character die? Both of the cops from the second one died if I remember right.
